ok. i don't know any music that actually MAKES you smarter. it's just what you're into, like what rhettpeter said. music is art and interpreted differently by different people. some people find comfort in relating to the music or to shed light on struggles. i'm not gonna say all mainstream rappers suck or all underground are the best but my personal opinion most of mainstream is garbage driven by money. That is sadly what Capitalism has driven our society to be but that is a different topic.

@drlaut i'm not trying to say that. i'm just tired of people who lump a genre of music together and assume one thing applies to all the artists because they only hear what's on the radio. That sometimes deters them from exploring other artists that may be less known, if they don't know the genre. if you had a bad experience with some sort of food, would you be inclined to try it again? of course, things are interpreted differently from person to person. i'm guilty of generalizing sometimes also.

i really find it pathetic that underground rapheads can not appreciate rap on its own. you guys keep on comparing it to lil' wayne, and quite frankly its annoying. Face it, listening to atmosphere does not make you smarter. Just enjoy music based on its own merits

Where do we think about things at to gain new perspectives?? Hmm, our heads? Pretty sure my argument is sound in that you can indeed gain intelligence from music, but I believe way more so with the deep good shit ^>^

Crazy....this is the most unfriendly 420 song I've ever heard. The beat during the chorus is very abrasive. The lyrics are kinda depressing. If you want something sick to toke to check out the group Latyrx and self titled song....that shit is trippy or for a super chill hip hop song check out Blackalicious "Swan Lake"
