The watermark never happened. In Detroit it is impossible to sell condos on a mass scale ranging from 350k to 1mil after the death of the auto-era. What could possibly work is a mixed development project that houses a more diverse socioeconomic group. There simply just aren't enough people who can afford that standard of living, who also want to live in Detroit.
Condos from $350,000-Million in Detroit? Oh please. Haha, there are plenty of expensive condos in downtown Detroit that are not being sold. What are these business men thinking? Most citizens in Michigan are losing their homes as a result of job loss. Most of the people in southeastern Michigan are in poverty. Good luck Bing!
yep well they can do something about it. And ummmm I doubt TheChoosenOne313 is in poverty if he's using a computer. Might wanna check your facts. This is good for the city, period.

I wish I knew how to post a pic of the Watermark Model / Welcoming center abandoned and covered in Weeds.
My friend has been forced to short sell his luxury loft just a mile from here. If the existing high end housing won't sell, why build more?

@rogerstrlg i think Dave Bing should focus on bringing back detroit instead of building condos that people can afford to buy.
