so many buzz words of the new age- in particular "seperation" -as a Christian I am called by God to be seperate from the sin of the world- the new age does not appear to cater for that- and no we are not the body of God unless we have repented and been born again in Jesus Christ- we are not a body with mankind. Only Jesus Christ will bring salvation to man- not men who think they are gods- new age babble sounds so good but is not possible and if you study Marx Hubbard is an aggressive movement.
This is a wonderful concept and I think someday it will be adopted when more people become aware. We should listen to each other. There are some good points to be made all around but we are so busy arguing that we don't hear one another.
i fear this "oneness politics" will never take root until humanity has survived a worldwide catastrophe, one which kills hundreds of millions of people.
and why is neale so obsessed with vacuum cleaners and washing machines?
is it his desire to wash and vacuum away his hypocrisy??
Do you trust humans to be ever able to do this? This would not require the changes in policy, but in perceiption of men of their fellow men; the system of today is based on enmity. Can humans really cease being each other's enemy? And isn't it a rather natural thing not to trust your fellow man if you have no idea what his motivations really are?
Michael, the biggest problem is we are living in a fear-based reality - this is perpetuated by our political system, religions and the false belief that we are separate from each other.
When we look at the "other" with love instead of fear, when we let go of that mentality of greed and embrace cooperation instead, that is how we change the world.
It's the hundredth monkey effect. More and more people are embracing a view like Neale's. Pretty soon it will become the norm.
I understand the power of "the others do it and it is cool," the problem is that it is both a slow and complex process to change one's consciousness and it is difficult and requires efford. For hundreds of years people have enjoyed stories about heroes, but few were heroes themselves since it was difficult. Also, it is very easy to corrupt the goal and begin selling it as a quick feel good philosophy which however has no long term results. Can really the hundredth monkey effect apply here?
