Socialism in France isn't Socialism as meant in USSR ... it's closer to democrats in america, it's not against capitalism etc. Except for that, even under right wing governments, France has a few social values that give it it's "socialist" image but that's all

I sincerely doubt that many Canadians would welcome Guevara's anarquist tactics and least of all, his brand of communism.

@lrodria1 Well not quite since Guevara lived in a time where, those were the methods he found most effective would work. Plus Canadians are not that down and abused as Cuba was and other latin AMerican countries.
But still the march of Technology will continue and would ultimately dislodge capitalism or result in slavery of everyone except the upper around 1% or so of the population. :)

In the very near past I adored all revolutionary regimes especially in South America, Cuba, China, USSR.... I thought USA is the evil. But during the Arab Spring, all these cheap stuff revealed their real face. Chavez of Venezuela supported till the end the Mad Man of Lybia, Qaddfi, a psychopathic murder who stole hunderds of millions of dollars. Russia and China vetoed many times against a resolution just condemning the unbelievable crimes done by Assad thugs against peasful demonstrates.

@mess9u2 Not all of them...Che is one of the few genuine Communists...notice how, though through a fallout with Castro, he left Cuba to start other revolutions...he clearly did not care about running countries or living in luxury, he just wanted to bring about change...and at times his actions were quite harsh, but they needed to be for him to succeed...I don't necessarily agree with socialism or communism (seems quite unrealistic I think), but I have huge admiration for Che...

The wrongs of the world can be overcome by peaceful disobedience. Take Ghandi and Martin Luther King as an example. Guevara's anarquist philosophy engendered death and hatred. Subscribing to that mindset does not solve the problem.

I may not agree with all of the decisions the U.S. Government makes but I assure you that living in the U.S. Is more democratic than the rat hole country you live in. He said he fights for peace here, but elsewhere declared that if he was in total control of the Soviet Nuclear Missiles in Cuba in 1962, he would have fired them upon the United States. I don't know about you, but that's the oddest kind of peace I've ever heard of.
