I have no clue when it comes to car mechanics so I was wondering if anybody has any opinions here: I know that you get better performance from a RWD than a FWD, but why doesn't Chevrolet make an AWD version? Does it take extra room in the front, hence distorting the intended design?

I just saw a 2010 Camaro out driving in the snow last weekend. The driver was definately very slow and cautious, but the car appeared to handle just fine. I followed it for a while and I was amazed, I assumed it would be going sideways or simply just stuck, but nope.

It's really not that hard to drive a RWD car in the winter. It's just not ideal.
