I completely agree with you that Sid didn't kill Nancy, it would have been a physical impossibilty for him to do it with the amount of drugs that he had ingested coursing through his system. However, I'm more prone to think that Nancy did herself in in one of her self mutilation sessions. I say this because when Sid awoke that morning she was still alive, he cleaned her up a bit and went to the clinic to get her methadone, so she likely would have told him of a robbery.
His lack of a reaction to her sitting on the bathroom floor bleeding tells me that he perceived the situation to be no more serious than the hundreds of other times Nancy hurt herself.
There was, apparently, money and drugs missing, but I don't think that it's too much of a stretch of my imagination to assume that a couple of detectives called to investigate a murder would pocket themselves a little bonus as it wasn't directly related to the case at hand.
Sid, however, was a bad guy. He hung cats or his own amusement, attacked people simply for the way they looked and beat on women because he was a coward pussy that couldn't win a fight with a man his own size. Chrissie Hynde and Nancy Spungen were very petite women, perfect victims for an inept fighter, like Sid, to take his aggression out on.
So, like, why do you care so much about this? You must be an uber bitch to care so much about this. All I said was that Sid was awesome. Which was true; he was awesome. Sid wasn't stupid but unfortunately he had issues, a druggie for a mother, no father and the wrong girlfriend: Another junkie. But he realized his mistake and wanted to get clean, sadly his INSANE mom was afraid he was gonna do time and KILLED HIM with an overdose, which is really sad. He was bright and talented, not as a bass player but as a SINGER and frontmen: The Vicious White Kids were bloody brilliant. R.I.P. Sid and Nancy, the most misunderstood couple in the history of music.

The Pistols lineup now is the true original lineup with Glen Matlock back on bass. Unlike Sid, Glen wrote the songs and is actually a proper musician. The fact is that Sid contributed nothing to the Sex Pistols, the only song that he actually played on was Bodies, on Never Mind The Bollocks. Sid was so crap that most of his bass parts were in fact played by Matlock or Steve Jones. So now you know.

I completely agree with you that Sid didn't kill Nancy, it would have been a physical impossibilty for him to do it with the amount of drugs that he had ingested coursing through his system. However, I'm more prone to think that Nancy did herself in in one of her self mutilation sessions. I say this because when Sid awoke that morning she was still alive, he cleaned her up a bit and went to the clinic to get her methadone, so she likely would have told him of a robbery.

His lack of a reaction to her sitting on the bathroom floor bleeding tells me that he perceived the situation to be no more serious than the hundreds of other times Nancy hurt herself.
There was, apparently, money and drugs missing, but I don't think that it's too much of a stretch of my imagination to assume that a couple of detectives called to investigate a murder would pocket themselves a little bonus as it wasn't directly related to the case at hand.

Sid Vicious didn't play a note on the Sex Pistol's albums nor did he play more than 2 notes in live shows, half the time his bass wasn't even plugged in, so comparing him to drug addicted MUSICIANS is pointless.
If I didn't respect my anonymity on this site and told you my name, you would see that the role that I played in the 1970's punk movement far outweighed the role that the press created for Sid and Nancy, after their death, no less.
