Kiri is my favorite singer, period. She still sings well here, although obviously not in her prime. I still remember her from her 40's. I recall an article that described her voice as melifluous. That was it.

Was this in June 2008? She was 64! How many people can sing like that at that age...
I last heard her live in Oct 2008. She came here for the Singapore Sun Festival gala opening concert, and I was in the orchestra. It felt so surreal to be sharing a stage with Kiri, but she was amazing and also extremely gracious and warm.

Many opera singers can sing into eighties if they limit performances and do not strain themselves :) She is amazingly beautiful in this clip.

@musicyh Thank you. I am so glad she is loved in Singapore. Kiri gets so much criticism from places like the US and England, where they overpraise others like Netrebko, Jenkins and Fleming.

She has taken very good care of her voice. She once compared the voice to a salami , every time you use it you take a piece off forever..she has been wise on what to sing and how often to sing. I last heard her live in 2006 (with Flicka) and they were both amazing.. Thanks for posting!
