I think it proper to hide Gedhun Choekyi Nyima from public because he is a sensitive personnel for many people.
For the human right problem you mentioned, there exist the problem withoud doubt like many countries in the world. Have you ever heard of Guantanamo Bay?

中国当时二战时期重新占领西藏意图很明显，这不就和西游记里如来佛把孙悟空压在五行山下一样吗？任凭他怎么叫嚷都没用。等五百年以后和唐僧一起归依佛门吧！幸好很多西藏人本来就是所谓的佛教焦土，归化起来应该不会太费力！不过大家记住，收妖需要耐心和时间的，相信如来佛的能力以及孙悟空的悟性！

At least from the fact of the young Panchen Lama having being abducted,
you can never ever deny that there is no freedom of religion or respect for Tibet.
Personally I don't care whether Tibet is a part of China or not,
but that kind of human rights violations China has been doing, I as well as people around the world can never tolerate.
