  • which pedalboard do you use?

  • "heres a custom 24 that a friend gave me" - you lucky son of a bitch.

  • a Randall to glorify God, just like Dime did in Pantera! :)

  • "...To glorify God with..." AMEN!!!!

  • hey! don't you have a volume pedal? i've played alot in churches with an organ player, and I have to say i've gotten pretty addicted to the volume pedal since the organ can sometimes be really loud and sometimes really low. i'm just curious. nice gear by the way!:)

  • @marshallkiller I do everything with my volume knob. I used to use a volume pedal when I played through a Line 6 POD. Now I set the amp to where it is a bit louder than normal and back off a bit. Then if I need a bit more I have it with the volume. Hoping to get some demos up soon. The Blackstar Artisan 15 I have just screams.

  • we want sound demos!!!

  • Awesome man. I love how you sound so thankful for what you have. Your also playing for God. Awesome man, may God continue to bless you.

  • Who the hell gives someone a PRS Custom 24? I need a friend like that. Some people just have all the luck. Good for you dude.

  • when are ya gonna put up some demos?? that pedalboard looks mint by the way..

  • Hi very nice demo!

how do you like the morley aby? how do you power it?

    /Thanks

  • @Eroos94 I use the morley just about every service. It requires no power. It does have a 9v battery to illuminate the leds, but it is not required for operation.

  • Wonderful setup brother, praise God. I hope i may ask you a quick question. I'm in a youth worship band at my church and im trying to get the best tone i can with my pedals so my question is: is it better to place distortion/overdrive pedals in the front of the chain before effects such as tremolo, delay, phaser, etc; or the other way around?

  • @ReaperSlash There is no right or wrong per say...I prefer mine as arranged. There are several vids on youtube about pedal order. Check them out and then experiment.

  • @ReaperSlash You are correct in your understanding. Place wah, then preamp type, then time based and then modulation type. That's basically the rule of thumb...and for good reason.

  • @ReaperSlash your pedal chain should sound pretty sweet having fuzzes, distortion, od, and then others with a delay last in the chain to maximize the use of it. Hope that helps.

  • your friends and family are keepers man lol giving you all that nice gear great people

  • please bro post some more vids. i would love to hear you're gear.

    God bless you

  • ive got a hip kitty Boa compressor. two chicken head knobs for amount and gain. gold flake paint. i love it. simple, sounds fantastic....best part i got it used on flea bay for 65 bucks. will have to try more from them

  • you glorify "God" with a Randall Amp ?? Do u worship Kirk ? :P

oh and i wish i were friends with all those who 'gave' u mainly ALL of your gear :P

  • Man, i gotta start playin at church again. You got people just givin out prs's and tube combos! hahaha Cool stuff man!

  • You have some really nice pedals, I especially like the liquid sunshine. Your accent sounds like you are from the mid-west.

  • @00000stephen Thanks. I am in Wisconsin.

  • @miahfdl gotta love being in the mid west!!

  • @miahfdl

Thought so;) I have relatives in Muskego. Nice setup, btw... I wish someone would give me a PRS:P:D

  • @00000stephen

What a NUT! Never know when you'll need a 10 decibel volume boost in Church

  • @thetweedband actually I use the boost just quite regularly. Works great for getting solos to cut through or really heavy rhythms.

  • i love it man, that warrior is beautiful. i play for my church too and i enjoy it so much. keep shreddin for God! haha, so when are we guna hear that demo?

  • Amen!

  • If being a believer gets me free gear too, sign me up Padre!

  • @bbmarcon :) Mostly people have liked my playing or other players have heard a piece of gear that they think sounds like me and give it to me. I dont ask for the gear but it is a blessing when it comes my way. Also i just bought a Blackstar artisan 15 and hope to demo it and the board soon.

  • @miahfdl Good on you, I say! Cool rig, BTW

  • 2 questions

    1. how do you power your pedals

    2. do you have a case for your board

  • @JoeyR96 I use a visual sounds pedal power chain. It seems to work well. No I do not have a case yet. I built the board and have thought about building a case but since i mostly play at church i can leave it there. Hope this helps.

  • wow you are so blessed. so many stuffs are given! haha. keep up the good work. cheers.

  • Hey. Great video. I currently have my wah after my compressor but before my overdrive pedals. I notice you have it set the opposite way (wah before comp). What's the advantage of this? Thanks a lot

  • @TheFitzaFrenicRock thats just the way i put it. no reason other than thats the way i read they should generaly go.

  • @miahfdl Im after swapping the wah to first in the chain. I prefer the sound but I'll need a few weeks and a couple of gigs to make a final decision. Thanks

  • @TheFitzaFrenicRock wah should always be 1st in line , otherwise you are not getting the full spectrum of your wah pedal , simple as that .

  • @TheSAJ11 not true. Drives after wah will add their tone characteristics and "even out" some of the range of the wah. I prefer this so the wah's not as harsh, but if you put wah AFTER your drives thats when you really hear the full tonal variation from the wah

  • Man you have some awesome friends!!!! Giving you PRS custom 24 that is WAY cool. Nice set up.

  • clearly you have no clue. Each overdrive is used for a different sound.

  • no, wrong, layering overdrives helps the frequency response of your amp and changing them up adds depth and dynamics to your playing

  • Layering overdrives helps the frequency response of your amp? No offence dude but I don't understand what you are talking about.

Layering the overdrives could indeed add more harmonic content to your signal but is cannot alter the frequency response of your amp. Your amp is built a certain way and turning on a pedal does not alter your amp, it alters your signal, and therefore the signal that the amp amplifies.

  • Also...

In the majority of situations I have found people are using various overdrive pedals to achieve different sounds and different tonal combinations. In this situation the dude has a Liquid Sunshine, Hipkitty Java and an Ibanez TS808. These are all different sounding circuits. Each pedal will have a different sound on its own and you can achieve even greater tonal variation by combining two or more of the pedals and colliding their gain stages.

  • Don't get me wrong, you could be an audio expert or something in which case you probably know a lot more about it than I do. But to say it ALTERS your amps frequency response is just crazy.

If not then I suggest reading up on how overdrives work and what the point in them is, also how your amp works. Sorry I am not having a go, just trying to understand the point you made?

PS - Sorry for posting so much on your video btw Miahfdl. Great board though as I have said before.

  • okay, maybe i mispoke and didn't use the correct words that. I agree with everything you said

  • Do you get payed for paying at churches?

because im a session guitarist ;)

  • so compressors belong before the overdrives and distortions? would you say that compressrs go twards the begining of the chain. after tuner and wah?

  • that is what i have been told and it works for me. I dont know that there is a set in stone place for any pedal but i like my compressor in front.

  • @LoVeCarRiEdThEcRoSs if you set your compressor after your overdrives, you will lose some of the volume boost from them. You'll still get the gain boost, but your drives will be really squashed = almost no dynamics, especially as your drives are already compressing somewhat. You may want this, but if you compress first you get the best of both worlds, even volume INTO your drives, some compression but still you have some dynamic range. Still down to personal preferences though

  • i'm not the church or religious type but i wanted to say i think it's really cool you can express yourself in your faith like this, really respect it - peace

  • I play at my church too but were not allowed to play that kind of music which suck so much balls

  • lol i also play at church and if you guys dont know who Lincoln Brewster is you should look him up amazing guitarist/worship leader

  • hey glad to hear someone using his pb to glorify God, im making mine now but seems a long way to go still, do you use your hippy kitty for solos and heavy rythms?

  • mostly heavy rythems sometimes solo on a single coil setting. Let me know when your board is done

  • gee all of your stuff has been given to you, i mean a prs!

dont you have gilt issues when in churche? sorry i'm just kidding... lucky guy

  • good setup man, you love your overdrive haha, me too!

  • You got a lucky church. My church makes everyone use a five year old tonelab with no presets...(slaps palm to forehead)

  • question

how are the pedals powered ?

i mean if they arnt battery powered do they have to go to like a power pack cuz i didnt see that and if they do would they all go to the same power pack someone explain in new to pedals -)

  • sorry about not getting back to you been away. i use a visual sounds pedal power supply

  • Nice.

  • id love to know what that sounds like

  • hope you didnt get the money from the church to buy all of this, are you rich

  • Very nice setup my friend!

  • God bless you

  • God bless bro.Come play at our church in Boston..........

  • Just a suggestion for a new wah (mainly my opinion) I recently got an Ibanez WD7 Wah, i used to have the classic Dulop wah, btu it kept breadking, the new Ibanez i recently got is an amazing wah, built like a take and wth it set right you can taylor in the dunlop sound, a vox (ish) type sound, and has a really unique sound, think its amazing for clean as well as dirty channels. I highly suggest you check em out. And beutiful guitars man =]

  • your friend gave you a prs???? good friend

  • gr8 friend

  • best friend

  • nice pedalboard

  • Your guitars look great against that copper background. Very nice!
