funny thing about morgan roses sticks... they have no front and back... they are the same all the way across... that and his heads are changed once a show because they get covered in blood. my band was on tour with them and black label, so i got to see his stuff up close. and watch him play, dude is un FUCKING believable, not to mention nice as hell!!

One of the most solid drummers in rock, hands down. The extra visual things he does mean nothing if you can't hold down the beat, but he always does. Maybe the hardest hitting, most energetic guy I've seen.
im pretty sure that morgan rose has an idea of how hard he can hit his cymbals. n as hard as he does hit his cymbals, they dont sound like shit recorded or live
i guarantee he doesnt hit his cymbals as hard in the studio. I know he hits hard live for the visual effect/entertainment factor.....I just prefer better sound over visuals

I went to see Black Label Society in Baltimore and guess what.. pppl were so on with sevendust so when BLS came we were so tired and sleepy so the show was not too good. Bad thing for BLS that they tour with 7D... they steal the crowd's energy and do better performance sorry but that's the true, 7D were better than BLS
Saw them in NYC a couple of weeks ago, going to see them again in Paris in June where this time they will be HEADLINING !! It was about time god damn it !!!

i suppose it also depends on the angle that you hit the drum head aswell. he looks to have his toms quite horizontal so they wont wreck the heads as much :)
morgan uses his signature double butt end sticks by vater called alien freaks. you pretty much can only play them on 2 ply heads because they will bust your 1 ply heads so fast...

Well, Morgan Rose being my favorite drummer, I'm inclined to be biased. I won't be though, because why are you guys having this conversation about who's better: JoJo or Rose, acting like JoJo is the pinnacle of drumming. He's great, obviously, but the pinnacle of drumming would be Buddy Rich. Lightning fast, extremely technical, tons of rythem, plus he was hammy to boot(like Rose, which i love). So I honestly don't see how one can have a greatest drummer conversation and Rich not be included.

what morgan does is no piece of cake,let me tell you,haters!anyone who has touched a drumstick can appreciate his solidity,his groove,his aggresiveness,his inventiveness!and he's loud without being harsh...his sound is always THERE!i dont know how he manages to stay so friggin loose!!!the guy looks like he's about to melt!:)))plus he's a great showman without this taking ANYTHING from his musicality!oh,and he aint no slouch on the screaming subject!!!respect the alien freak!

Well, Morgan Rose being my favorite drummer, I'm inclined to be biased. I won't be though, because why are you guys having this conversation about who's better: JoJo or Rose, acting like JoJo is the pinnacle of drumming. He's great, obviously, but the pinnacle of drumming would be Buddy Rich. Lightning fast, extremely technical, tons of rythem, plus he was hammy to boot(like Rose, which i love). So I honestly don't see how one can have a greatest drummer conversation and Rich not be included.
