  • Smooth

  • Superb work.

  • Did you redo some of the texturing on Raul's refit?

  • @CJCA915 Yes, I redid all of the texturing.

  • @mauriciodgsantos Nice, I mean you made it go virtually from a fan created model/textures, to a studio quality model in terms of textures. O_O

At first I thought it was a completely different model, haha.

  • It's the Enterprise get over it, Be it C,D,E or F. and I now there wasn't an F before anyone says so. The Model and the animation are beautiful, well done to all involved, I've subscribed to the channel and you should to. Don't miss out, see the next one first. Cheers.

    DarMok.

  • I'm not trying to be a jerk, but you just ruined my favorite version of the enterprise by using design elements from Abram's flying jet powered vaccum cleaner... there was nothing wrong with the design as appeared... tribute to the 1701-a... I think not.

  • Brilliant. But needs Kirk saying the line :)

  • I can't stand JJ ship, but I have to say I thought it was great. How you made this movie with all of it's effects. Like len flares etc etc.

  • love this enterprise.

  • Was good until I saw that it was inspired by the new movie. Terrible NAccels design

  • Enterprise-A was Cool. They Saved Money by using the same Ship model which wass a Cop out, but it was meant to be a Cute Wink to the Original/ Refit ship of the first 3 movies. If theer had been CGI in 1986, the New Enterprise would have gotten a slightly different looking Bridge, A slightly different Sensor Dish, Slightly Different Warp Engine Caps, Extra Phaser Mounts& an Aft Torpedo Launhcer Set up at the base of the ship's Neck facing backwards. Her Engine Struts should have been Thicker.

  • dude this is epic

  • I am SO getting Adobe After Effects now. Anyone know where I can find 3ds max cheap?

  • Really great movie! Very nice close ups and the end warp was fantastic. Looking forward to seeing more :)

  • the nacelles creates a warped field in space around the ship. it does not push it. the space around the ship is whats moving. its like a surfer riding a wave.

  • for some reason jj arbrams thinks thrust comes out of the warp nacelles.

  • @mcfuson37 it does: at warp

  • @BMWM3GTRLOVER heres some quick warp theory for you. Warp engines form a bubble of self-contained space-time allowing the ship to breach the speed of light using the ship's usual method of propulsion, in this case: Impulse.

Anyone wanna correct me on any of that?

  • @babylon218 so what there was a few aesthetic errors in STXI. the JJprise was designed to look modern and fresh, which it does. no-one. cares.

  • @BMWM3GTRLOVER he tried to make a dang star wars style movie which wasnt that great. I didn't like the blaster style phasers. the saucer looked good but the secondary hull and nacelles just looked stupid. out of porportion. I liked the movie but didnt like the enterprise.

  • @BMWM3GTRLOVER I never said i didn't like the new look of the enterprise. Personally, I like it!

  • @babylon218 sorry i confused you with the other guy

  • @BMWM3GTRLOVER it's ok

  • @babylon218 the inpulse engines shut of just before warp is engaged as you can see from the star trek movies 1-6. The speed of the space around the ship depends on how much energy is being put in the field.

  • @mcfuson37 thanks for correcting me. So it isn't the ship that's moving through space it's space moving around the ship?

  • @babylon218 right. It the same as surfing on water. I surfer ride the wave its doing the moving the surfer is just going alone with it.

  • stunning

  • This is a cool animation, very good interpration of ST XI to the Refit. Looking forward to see more

  • NICE! LOVED the warp effect!

  • COOL! The best animation I've seen yet! The model gets your attention! It stands out in a SHARP way! COOL!

  • WOW! Mauricio, that is one beautiful model! I love the little embellishments you gave to it (such as the lighted tails on the warp nacelles. Also liked the little shot emulation you did from the 2009 movie. Nicely done! That model looks incredible! Well done! :)

  • Thanks to all for favorable comments.

    Coming soon making of.

  • I can't say I'm crazy about the redesign of the warp engines, but wow, the close-ups are really sweet! That wraparound of the saucer section looks amazing!

  • Great video..question for you, though: The stars at the end during the credits...how did you get the 'travelling at warp' starfield? I've tried a few techniques, and I think I know what you've done..but I'm curious. :)

  • @IsoBanValian I used the Trapcode Particular plugin for After Effects.

  • NCC 1701-A is not the original one which was NCC1701. NCC-1701 was distroyed by J.T. Kirk when was captured by a klingon group over the planet created with the Genesis project (movie Star Trek III - The search for Spock . NCC-1701-A was the second one which appears at the end of Star Trek IV .

  • Absolutely Beautiful!

  • Nice touch to put the Refit in a JJ Style. The saucer section looks great, the other parts could have some additional work, but it's an outstanding work. I like it

  • WOW!!! Fantastic!!! I love what you did with the warp engines!!!

  • That's so cool! Awesome! Well done!

  • That looks absolutely awesome. Great work.

  • Very nice work. :)

One minor issue would be that the specular mapping is extremely strong.
