Coldplay and Kraftwerk are both fantastic in their own unique styles....in this way,kraftwerk pioneered the tune but coldplay improvised....however, the coldplay mood of the song is a bit played on a minor scales (sad and unhappy). @everyone uhmm, I'm pretty sure Chris Martin wrote to Kraftwerk before he used their melody.... in fact, being that Kraftwerk is pretty aloof from the public Martin received simply a handwritten reply in the mail with the single word "Yes". So there is no argument here. Coldplay used the melody with Kraftwerk's permission, 25 years later.

When he was forced to step out of the Work of Kraftwerk, he decided to stay on the track where Kraftwerk has left , in 1986. He was kicked out of Kraftwerk in 1991, tho, but He never stopped capturing that Kraftwerk Atmosphere, and I personally think he has more HEART in his music than Ralf And Florian had.
