  • Has anyone here joined the VS group on Facebook, like I did? Great group with great info...Barry in Pa.

  • Hey please PM me, im only a 14 year old kid and I have this tinnitus and The blue sky thing. Im really scared and need help. The doctors are telling me im going mad

  • does this mean we big brilliant in snow fights this christmas?!

  • like your humour on the case mate...wish i can just move on and be happy with it...only had it year now so maybe one day

  • jesus u rightly got alot of people together that have it bro fareplay to you man

  • I got this after pulling an all-nighter in college. I don't think everyone has it, I certainly never saw anything like it until the morning after.

I don't have it anymore, I found a natural treatment and cure on evisualsnow dot c o m

  • snowmen

  • faith is bullshit! thanks for realizing. btw try looking at depersonalization/derealization i think it might be what i have, but only you can tell for sure if it is your condition

  • I am a spiritual satanist , but its about yourself and not satan , satan or enki just helps gide you in becomeing a god yourself

  • is black mold hell in athiest? cuz ya believe in bacteria

  • im noticing one thing alot of people are relating to with visual snow is anxiety disorder including me. also people with a different perspective on life almost like you can only see it if you really look for it like others are saying to

  • I have had snowy vision since I was 16. I'm 28 now and it's the last of my worries.

  • @AdzTurner Then you can be happy with some people it get worse and you can get more problems like after images tinnitus blue field... I am one of those people sadly so that's why we need help.

  • I have an appt for neurology opthamology next month, hopefully get some answers. My after images and tinnitus is getting worse and worse all the time.

  • one day this stuff wil go away but for now we have to be paient

    BTW nice video

  • I've had visual snow for 15 + years now and have problems with trails aswell. I also experience migraine like lights flashing in and out of my eyes when I try and sleep aswell some nights. It's usually worse when I'm tired.

    Let's get our symptoms/disease recognised

  • I have anxiety.... and wanna hear something? I never notice this shit until I "read" about it........ so you think I am just hyper aware? I am looking for it? Now I am thinking, did I always have it? Do we all have it, but its so normal people can't notice it? Its only after I read about visual snow, I started focusing on my vision. And boom! I can't stop seeing it.

  • @abu3333 SAME HERE! I ran into a video about this (not this video), and I was like... "wtf is he talking about?" Started looking around the room... bam, I got visual snow. Now, I can't stop seeing it. This crap is weird!

  • @abu3333 I think this might point to the fact that everyone has visual snow, it just takes a maybe hyper awareness (anxiety, panic etc) or maybe when you're looking for it to actually see it. My hunch is that once you notice it and associate it with a "Problem" or "Condition", that coupled with the fact that you see it all the time makes it the beast it is. (I have it too btw).

  • @abu3333 the brains of the human are made so that you don't notice it. visual snow is something you can't help because it's a reaction of you eye...otherwise you wouldn't see anything. On the moment the brain focus on it...you can't stop seeying it untill you FORGET about it. (sorry for my english)

  • @jesse22266 "people need to stop focusing on cancer and aids so much and focus on other problems"

sorry but this is completely retarded i hope you are joking. people are dying from cancer and aids, visual snow is just a problem with your vision it doesn't physically hurt you. i agree that scientists should take this seriously, but it shouldn't detract from their efforts in other more important areas

  • @jesse22266 and i have visual snow so don't say i dont understand, i just learn to deal with it it really isn't that bad people who freak out about it need to relax and realize there are more important problems in the world than your vision, imagine people who had terrible vision before glasses were invented

  • I have myopia, visual snow, tinnitus, and head aches almost every day. I have had visual snow and tinnitus for as long as I can remember (since I was a toddler), and noticeable nearsightedness since early teenage. I never realized visual snow was abnormal, I just assumed everyone had it. It's very subtle for me so it never came up.

Since these symptoms seem to be shared, I wonder if there isn't some common cause that is yet unknown of?

Do you guys have a family history of high blood pressure?

  • Thank you so much for you video blogs on visual snow. I have the same condition and for the longest time I had no idea that other people had it too. I've been to many opthomoligists who say they don't know what I have. It is really nice to see a group of people who actually share this condition.

Keep the videos coming and thanks for the laughs too!!:)

  • Also why are you going into religion? haha i didnt come here to hear you rant against God XD I just wanna see people with this same problem i have

  • I for one think we're special XDD I mean I've successfully ignored this damn thing for 3 years now!!! but Its given us all wat?! increased sensitivity!!! we're like super humans now :) think about it, has anyone heard the ringing from like an older generation TV, like no one can hear cept us...and my vision isn't for the worse, I have perfect vision still, I can see farther than most people even with the snow, so is it really that bad? sure the headaches suck, but we're not dead!!! :D

  • i have visual snow to ....... i was just thinking that maybe were actually seeing more then regular people .......... i mean we could also just be fucked up in the brain

  • Kinda threw me off there, thought I was watching a VS video. We could talk about religion in another message. (talk, not argue, please). I think people are slowly gaining ground on VS. My main worries of course is if it can cause complete vision loss.

  • @AliveThroughChrist7 It wont get worse dont worry and you will probably not lose your sight.

  • I am now 64 & think I have VS, even though I have mild static & see tiny black dots moving around like the entopic syndrome, where one can see thier white blood cells moving through their capillaries in the macular. Only noticed these black dots since I got a bad case of pink eye & now on mild steroid drops. So, must VS be "white" in color? My Opthalmologist, Retina, & neuro-opthalmalogist can find nothing wrong. Can you or anyone comment? Thanks

  • @nucleuscontour I dont think it has to be white i notice when i look at a black background it looks white and when i look at a white background it looks black it's just basically really fine small pieces of grain moving around in your vision however the intensity and size of the grain can vary

  • Possible cure for Visual Snow: watch?v=dAZLoI6GAZY

The link is in the video description. Remember, be patient.

  • Basically guys i really think i know what it is after quite a while of research, it could just be a neurotransmitter deficiency pointing towards why people who have smoked cannabis sometimes get this, things such as coffee also deplete serotonin a major neurotransmiter in the brain so if you want to get rid of this take up a new healthy diet eat foods containing proteins which turn into serotonin in the body and after a few months you should notice slight differances and maybe even full recovery

  • @Cozzi0 Do you know if VS must be "white" in color. I do have mild static with tiny black dots in my vision. Have other questions, if you don't mind in the future. Thanks...Barry in PA.

  • i am very angry that its 2010 now and there is still no treatment for visual snow but scientists can send all kind of crap into space. i to am a sufferer of this

  • Check out my video if you want Visual Snow getting public and getting reconize and more important researched!

  • Check out my video

  • My phsyc actually said it wasnt in our heads. He believes we are having a persistant painless migrane.

  • @LimeGreenFever That is very strange that you say that. My friend is Wiccan and believes that he can feel my pain. He's always saying that I seem to have a headache, but on most occasions I do not. This may explain why?

  • Is there ANY KIND of MEDICATION? That WORK? please HELP!

  • what's the e-mail address again? couldn't hear it clearly. i too experience visual snow. i've sent you a youtube message.

your nick name should be John Snow (i.e. John Doe)

  • anybody know's ANY MEDICATION?? please HELP!

  • my symptoms (floaters, halos, trails, SNOW, and afterimages) seen to have gotten worse.

I have 20 20 vision and everything eye-wise is good as of Feb 2010.

I also tried E and then had a major knee surgery to which I woke up from...and ta da...my vision was completely changed. Now I see spermy squiggles when i look at the sky :(

  • does somebody know's any MEDICATION that works?

  • Does somebody tried out one of the medications? Im am trying one at the moment pray to god it helpes... Does somebody tried out any medication for it or KNOW'S any medication that helpes?

  • Try researching Kundalini, Gopi Krishna would probably tell you that your visual snow its due to an evolutionary energy inside of you causing inner transformation, welcome to a higher consciousness friend.

  • i love the snow goggles! haha you're great. *high five from one visual snow buddy to another*

  • Its going to be so hard for us to not see the VS any more, if we had taken a beta blocker during the time when we saw it, it might have gone away but its going to take a lot of mental strength for us to not see it. I have actually sometimes totally forgot about it and not seen it but as soon as i noticed something strange in my vision it comes back and i notice it. Dont get stressed over it guys and hang in there we will get over it.

  • I think VS is phycological, opticians can find no problems with my eyes in fact they are healthy. However i was pondering the internet when i found a wiki called

    Closed-eye hallucination

It mentions Visual noise which we are experiancing and makes quite a bit of sense to me. It seems that VS is actually normal in vision it's just that we guys are looking for it or something we have taken like a drug has exhaserbated it and made us notice it so we cant forget it.

  • Guys i think this Visual snow problem is a lot more simple than we are pecieving here. I think it could be something like a bit of pressure behind the eye or restricted blood flow. Also possibly stress and anxiety might cause our muscles behind the eye to tense up and nip the optic nerve causing inflamation of the optic nerve. I remember noticing mine when i was really stressed and pissed off and i stared at a wall and i could make out small white grains moving round.

  • Thanks alot man your right, i have had mucus behind putting pressure behind my eyes and your also right about the stress. My doctor told me it could be serious and when she told me it got much worse within hours because i kept thinking of what it could be. These are probobly the exact 2 reasons as to why the snow occurs. if your also sensitive to light, it could be because of mucus build up due to allergies, or marijuana use in my case. So yeah id say its because of long term mucus buildup.

  • Funny you say mucus i suffered from terrible mucus problems a bit back which also caused problems with my ears. That could be what is causing mine also i think it could be to do with puberty, because during puberty you have a huge chemical imbalace and that is the No1 cause of VS. Ive had VS since a few weeks after last easter maybe if i use meds to clear up mucus again it might go away.

  • yea im pretty sure its the mucus, because my doctor told me a while back if i dont get rid of it, itll lead to bigger problems, And here i am no with bigger problems. What meds do you use for the mucus?

  • I had mucus problems a bit back and it gave me tinnitus, my mucus isnt too bad now so im guessing mine could be to do with something else. And talking about mucus when i use a decongestant i tend to find it intensifies my VS for a short period of time and then goes back to normal. But anyway good luck with finding your cause and keep a happy and healthy mind, trust me it helps.

  • @Cozzi0 I agree. I noticed mine two years ago when I couldn´t sleep because I was extremely frustrated and angry. I looked around me and suddenly there was visual snow everywhere. I also have after images trails and some other weird stuff going on with my vision. But I just stopped researching my problems, I just ignored it and yeah... two years later I just never notice it. But when I look for it, it´s everywhere. Now I´ve been cold for 3 weeks and my symptoms seems to have increased a lot.

  • Hmm i think the stress of thinking about the problem is making mine worse at the moment but i am so determined to find the root cause of VS, it has many differant causes and i feel no doctor or optician has ever made the effort to help me just because i am 15. My theories of cause are, some type of heavy metal poisoning, possible poisoning from an iritant or acidic substance. Maybe a chemical imbalance in the brain, damage to optic nerve or eye damage.

  • do you guys think a detox could cure VS?

  • ive found a website has some information about VS

  • God has really given me a lot.. sexual molestation, depression, big ass and visual snow.

But I can and will get trough everything! Now it's only 2 to go, big ass and VS.

  • @tellervoinen Sorry to hear that about that about sexuel molestation and depression and a big behind (trying to make it lighter) Anyway Check out my video and link it! Lets get this researched!

  • However it could just be a case of Visual Noise which you can get on Cameras. Maybe its just that you have never seen it before and one day you used your sub concious mind and discovered what is really there. Who knows, i think it also probably depends on how bad it is, i only notice mine at night and on blank walls etc in dim light. It's very complex and dont let it control your life in time you will discover the answer.

  • I think the VS could be a number of reasons lemme put a few down Parasite(eg some sort of worm) Chemical Imbalance Neurological Disease Damaged Nerve Damaged Eye Genetic Diseases that are inherited and cause problems with the eye Possibly using screens too much like desktops etc. Drugs like weed which cause halucination Brain damage to back part of the brain which controls vision Possibly a chemical These are just a few i can think of, but theres probably more.
  • I cant believe this is something real lol

I only really noticed this recently but have had tinnitus for years, migraines since I was 12 and was diagnosed with hypermobility syndrome just before xmas, which by the way was mostly through self diagnosis otherwise Id still be none the wiser.

Jesus has blessed me way more than the rest of you, hah! I had an mri years ago but that way cause of dizzyness and migraines and post concussion headache and what a surprise nothing wrong!

  • @cameronjcw Go get yourself a VEP test (i will send you a link to your message) that can prove you have something wrong, people with visual snow have got (some) a abnormal result. And check out my video and link it lets get it researched!

  • Something about visual snow is quite odd when you think about it. When you try think about something abstractive or visualize something, dont you have feeling that its kinda similiar to what you see when you open eyes with VS? More than visual problem, it makes me think about "how real is this?" because there is some unknown point which connects me feelings about reality and abstration+VS.

  • i have the same snowy vision type thing ..i've had it for 10 years ..a good suggestion name for guys like you and me is ..snow bro ..i refer to myself as a snow bro .

  • I believe Ive had this for a long time now but only notice it getting worse now -I am in my 40s and have this 24/7 staticy background vision , gritty , speckled fine sandpapery field of vision. The dark looks like a static TV or low lux video cam in the dark. I just learned about this condition -how rare or common is this ? I can admit that I went through some stressful event when this got worse

  • its actually more common than you think, i think its also a case of noticing it but an optician told me grainy vision is mentioned a bit especially if you have myopis(nearsitedness) which i have and i only noticed it when my eyes got worse so...

  • @Cozzi0 you ever hear of natural remedies for Refractive errors? They're real, optometry disinformation makes it like they're scams but 100s of dollars on glasses actually makes your eyes dependent on something by weakening them.

It takes committment. I would've done it but I'm real busy.

  • hey, what's your e-mail? i have the same condition, and the same crazy caracter as you.

  • In this case, unique sucks ass.

  • Nice video! I have visual snow and i began to notice it about two years ago. it's gotten a little intense nowadays. It doesn't really bother me much since i still have good vision. I can read things that people with glasses cannot if it's too far away. Visual snow is uniq and not well documented but as far as i know it's better then actual vision loss. the static does interfere abit but I still still see much clearer then someone who wears glasses.

  • I find this cool :) the jesus comments are fun :P

  • I got visual snow and my eyes have a hard time getting details in the dark because of it.. it is completely gone outside though, well not when I look at the sky. I noticed my eyes are very sensitive to light as well, so they have a hard time adjusting to other light sources. To be more specific when I change areas with great light difference.. seems as if I have a light in my peripheral vision blocking all other bits.. anyone else see this too?

  • Yeah same thing with me man! I notice it more inside but if i look out the window or whatever everything seems better.

  • I can very relate with what you are saying....I just discoverd this today...this video this visuel snow...its like im dreaming... react to me back or add me as friend

  • Your VS is very similar to mine, and mine also interferes with my night vision. When you look into a bright blue or white sky do you also see strange things too? I think we might have some sort of damage to the cones and rods or possibly inflamation in the optic nerve. Gahh its so mind exploding but i think that one day we will find the answer.

  • @Cozzi0 Mine interferes with my night vision too. It's really kinda cool though. Visual snow is harmless but I do miss seeing solid colors sometimes.

Sometimes my ears start ringing but in pure silence I hear a ringing sort of sound but it's silent. It's weird but relaxing

I can't look into the blue sky without squinting anymore for some reason. Which I think that mine is a vitamen deficiency.

  • I have tinnitus too but mine is a quiet hissing. I think we could be getting at something here, maybe a neurological problem or chemical imbalance? I dont think it is vitamin defiency it would get worse over time if it was so im guessing one of those two.

  • @Cozzi0 I don't think I have tinnitus but I always thought the silent ringing was normal. Guess not.

Probably Neurological. I was guessing mercury or some other poison was the cause of mine. Idk though.

  • Ive noticed VS now since last easter and over the past few months have ignored it and not allowed it to take over my life. But just recently i has a sudden panic attack about it and i am in the same position again wondering and trying to find a way to get rid of it. I think mine could have been due to poisoning but i have never had any tests to prove it was poisoning etc. If it is oisoning can i detox and get rid of it or will the damage already be done and the poison left my body?

  • @Cozzi0 Well the have Chelation therapy which can "pull" whatever heavy metal neuro toxins are in you but it's Risky.

Some can cause kidney failure but with poison I guess you die the same way just slow and more slow.

I plan to get a blood test to see myself but I have no money and don't want to risk it yet. I'm sure it's damage to the optic nerve though.

Sometimes you just got to live and move on. I never worry about it though, it makes school a bitch but besides that it's all good.

  • @LtFang299 Multiple sclerosis??

  • The annoying thing about it is when i go to a doctor or an optician they think i am in need of mental help and it really frustrates and angers me as i feel no one will listen or help me and i feel alone and helpless. I am so glad i have found you amazing people who suffer similar symptoms to me. Anyway lets go forward together and try to get this disease recognised.

  • What if it's not a disease? Everything these days has to be an incurable disease. Natural cures can remedy 99% of all problems these days.

I think Visual snow is a Neurological problem with the brain, if we go to the Opticians for help and they look at us like we're crazy, it's either the eyes or brain. The eyes are virtually connected to the brain.

  • @LtFang299 it's the brain

  • Figures. I think it's a result of some sort of poisoning. Maybe blood work needs to be done idk

  • Yep, but why the brain is doing this?

  • @asmodeus585

    -Radiation from UV light spasm

    -Mercury/copper/various heavy metal poisoning

    -Brain damage

    -Concussion

    -Trauma

    -Genetic ailment

I don't know, that's my personal idea on what causes visual snow.

  • True but as not much research has gone into neurological problems the answer is hard to find. I personally believe the answers are already there it's just that we have to look for them and by doing this we might have to think differantly.

  • @Cozzi0 ask for this: Dont know how it's called: Wires on your head one eye patched up. You sit behind a pc monitor with a red dot and a "chestboard" like background on the red dot. The "chestboard" changes motion or chape. You must focus on the red dot. Then your other eye get patched up.. A pc registrated it all...Ask it in my country its called a: VEP. Respond to me back!

  • @Ben1987X What exactly does this test achieve.

  • @Cozzi0 A VEP research is a clinical neurological research which the response on the brain on the visual stimuli that being measured. With this information is gained on the function of the eye nerve

  • @Cozzi0 i went to an optical neurologist near me who actually has the same condition..... he basically told me you have to learn to deal with it, but that he was still doing his own studies to figure out the cause of it.....hope this helps and if you need more info just send me an email.......stophre120@mac.com

  • @stophre120 from what most neurologists say it's probably just a chemical imbalancement however the exact imbalancement is unknown but i dont think extensive research is going to be needed to uncover the main underlying cause.

  • Religion, or Christianity in general, has become second nature. Everyone can say they're Christian or Catholic, but nobody honestly follows through with Biblicial teachings.

  • Because it's simply impossible.

  • (agnostic leaning strongly towards athiesm here)

I have had Visual snow (tiny moving pinprick dots everywhere) for as long as I Can remember , age 3-4 ish. I've also had a headache everyday of my life, to the point it is just normal for me. I've had tinnitus for around 7 years, although I can ignore it so it's not as bad as some people. I remember as a little kid, saying "mommy I can see the air!" No one has ever believed me, about this condition, they just think I'm making it up, but oh well.:)

  • I also have Visual Snow as well as Tinnitus (commonly associated with VS apparently) and I'm also a fan of Sam Harris.

A thing to note is that when looking up at a very blue sky it is possible to see the blood cells in your eyes squirming about along with your heart beat (learned this at a science museum). It can resemble Visual Snow but I guess since I actually have Visual Snow the craziness is even more intense when looking up at blue skies.

  • Comment removed

  • Many people, including myself, can indeed see it with our eyes closed. I may be "not that bad" as you "see it", but for people suffering from it at a more intense level it is. I don't need to relax and concentrate to see it. It is present constantly, in any environment.

  • Yes, at least I can.

  • i got visual snow since i was like 5 sucks : (

  • snowshoes.

loving snippets of 'THE-RAPIST' inspired tunes.....
