@TheRealTaco I could max crunches and pullups w/ a 21 min 3 miles. You can't go into OCS with minimal scores (10 pullups). You probably won't make it. Work on your pft weaknesses. Run once a week with boots and remove "quit" and "can't" from your personal dictionary ooh rah

TO any OCS grads, how prepared were you before you went to OCS? As of now my 3 mile time is anywhere from 22:40-23:14 (Horrible I know). IN winter I can go as fast as 20:30 when its cool (But PLC is in summer so it doesnt matter). I can do 10 pullups (defintely working on those with the Armstrong program), and crunches i can 100 of, but shooting for 120. I wanna do this, but I don't feel like im anywhere near physically ready enough for it from what I have read.

Does everyone who completes OCS become an officer, or is there a final selection process in which the candidate just waits for the result of how well he or she did during the Course?

@Killermuffin1 If you complete OCS, all you need to do is graduate college with your bachelors degree, and you are GUARANTEED a commission as a 2ndLt.

You don't get paid in JROTC dude. In fact its JROTC not real ROTC. If you wanna be an officer in the corp you gotta go to Navy ROTC in college or USMC OCS.

I do military simulation every sunday with real marines/navy seal/ blackwater/ and one swat guy.

@angeltwilighterlover YES!! Girls can definitely go through OCS, the only difference is that they don't do pullups, they just curl up on a pullup bar and hold. Everything else is the same.
