The last ninja is based on the Commodore 64 game Last Ninja 2.

And you complain about the lack of music, maybe NEXT TIME DON'T TURN OFF THE MUSIC.

Yes the NES version sucks but the C64 version is great.

For those who don't know, The Last Ninja was originally a Commodore 64 game. Apparently the NES version is a straight port of that version.

I thought the Last Ninja was far better. It was at least a bit different than your typical platform jump game which is all you get from Black Manta.

Funny review as always, but if you're unwilling to give item collecting and problem solving a chance, then why bother in the first place? You seem to favor Super Mario type of games where there is absolutely nothing to figure out except "go left, don't die"

your reviews are great. iv'e played the last ninja on the atari st 520 and what a load of shit. you say the controls where bad. Using a joystick was so much fun one button to do everything punch, kick, jump. i was dead in seconds.

Wrath of the Black Manta owns! You should have kept playing it, the funniest moments take place in the later levels, particularly during the final boss battle.
