  • Like a scary movie o.o

  • All this badass graphics for 281 mb?

    i´m gettin right now

  • I can't wait for games to look like this.

  • futermark should make games. They would look awesome

  • this makes Crysis look like tetris.

  • i'm glad i didn't pay money for this.

  • w.youtube.com/watch?v=s41yPePAGPo

  • Yeah, we'll most likely be waiting till the next generation of consoles before we get anything looking close to this. I'd love to see Farcry 3 looking as good as that jungle/arid environment! Crysis 2 is really spectacular though, no matter the console focus, best looking console game imo.

  • why dont games look like this yet?

  • @gmiwoj Metro 2033 maxed comes close. :)

  • @gmiwoj Because of fucking console ports. thats why.

  • @douglasdtlltd

    true

  • what is the best site when you gonna download this? the free one.

  • My graphics would explode in games like this xD-ASUS EAH4350

  • I got P5524 with "Benchmark test only/Performance/Demo) my rig.. i7 960, Geforce GTX 580, 12GB 2000Mhz DDR3

  • amazing video

  • ID software with Carmack could do these graphics if they want I think... cause Carmack can everything x)

  • Imagine if you showed this tech demo at like GDC 1998... XD

  • Hmpf... an average FPS of 11,5 on Performance Settings (with a little bite Anisotrop).. I would say that I have raped my Sapphire Radeon HD 5770.

    Would you agree?

  • i got a score of p4764 3d marks with the free demo version which only runs at 1280x720...

  • I think I need to change my pants.

  • CAN WE HAVE a benchmark for GPU only results? and another for CPU/GPU and leave phisiscs out for now? its so hard to compare system scores across the internet

  • This is what Crysis 2 should look

  • @d0krealone It's funny you should says that because just as I watched the start of the video I though to myself:"Eh kinda looks like Crysis"

  • Photorealistic games are just around the corner ^^

  • one day a far cry game will look like this XD

  • i would so much buy a game with graphics like this! even if it meant i would have to get a new pc ;)

  • Futuremark, i think you've definitely recovered from the vantage fiasco, well done.

Now, if you make a game based on this kind of engine i think everyone will love you forever.

  • New release date confirmed - set your alarms for 14:00 GMT on Tuesday December 7, 2010.

  • @FuturemarkTV My birthdate :O

  • Futuremark, why don't you make more games? PLEASE MAKE MORE PC GAMES? Shattered Horizon is great, but nobody plays (except some bots).

  • so fu**ing amazing!

  • Compare this to Epic's latest engine. People were oohing and awwing over it yet I thought it looked like a mild improvement. It doesn't look half as good as these scenes, which are all rendered real-time on PCs.

If we didn't have these crappy ports we could all be playing games that looked like this and better on our PCs.

  • @mygaffer Well UE3 is widely used on consoles as well. But yeah it brings nothing new to PC gaming.

  • @boredgunner Not to be rude, but yeah, that was exactly my point. Epic is known for making console friendly engines and their latest engine is pathetic yet b/c we are so used to ugly games that run on 5 year old hardware we think it looks great. This gives a glimpse into what games would look like RIGHT NOW if we didn't have to cater to the console crowd.

  • Comment removed

  • @mygaffer this is just total bullshit and shittiest software ever

why they showing us this crap when it will NEVER be on PC

Only STUPID people would buy this piece of s*it !!

    fake and fake

where are fkin games with graphics like this?

go the f hell idiots makers u just want money nothing else ..!!

  • @iEvoss OK well I don't really think it is worth responding to you as you seem to be kind of unintelligent but I will try.

Obviously your statement "it will NEVER be on PC" is wrong. Graphics on PC get better all the time, it will take some time but at least by the time new consoles come out PC games will look BETTER than this.

Anyway there are plenty of games on PC that look really good, check out Battlefield 3 for the latest example of awesome PC graphics.

  • @mygaffer

heh you are BIG intelligent :)

i u even didnt know what is 3d mark 06 where is that graphic? i want to see it even graphics in 03d mark 06 is still not seen in real gameplay all shitty anime graphics not real ..

Yes only ONE game with a close to reality Crysis 1 that's it .. and even NOT playable on ultra coz no gpu exist to run it without one tear !! u big intelligent ;D

all products from is just BIG FAKE and only stupid intelligent like you will install that and may be buying

  • @iEvoss I just told you which game has amazing graphics besides Crysis, Battlefield 3. Many other games have a high level of graphical fidelity. In any case you seem to misunderstand the purpose of 3dMark. It is to show you what games will look like in the FUTURE, not the present. Seriously, go read their site, it says so.

  • @mygaffer and i just told you

that future never come what u talking about since 3d mark 03 .. you say will look when?

am waiting almost 10 years and still nothing

  • @iEvoss Games today look waaay better than 3dMark03's demos did.

  • @mygaffer yeahh i can say but 3d 06 not barely

this company is just for stupid lads who they think it's cool this soft and they buy it for astronomical prices

it's just burn in test dressed in frightening graphics ..

  • @iEvoss I don't know why you are so combative about this. Anyway I would say Battlefield 3 looks BETTER than anything 3dMark06 had. Like I said it is a useful tool for stress testing your video card overclock. I have never actually paid money for it but I have downloaded it before and got a free code for it once. I used it for stress testing. The only thing it is meant to do is show the difference in performance between cards and stress testing, so I don't know what your big problem is.

  • @mygaffer yeah that's the thing when u got it for free u nice to it once u got to pay u will hate it ..

  • @iEvoss Like I said, for me its not worth paying for, but that doesn't mean it is useless software. Anyway, I just don't get why you would hate it SOO much.

  • Delayed AGAIN! Was supposed to have orignaly been released in september, then Nov 30. Now I'ts delayed again they say for at least a few more days or maybe a week! WTF

  • @megaman00001 I know, it better be bug-free when it comes out.

  • Hi

    I buy gaming Laptops

& there are different kinds on there site- 3dmark. c om

whic one should we get all 3 or................?

    whats the difference ?

  • @ilordvader Different DirectX versions. Different tests. 3DMark 06 is a great CPU bench and limited to DX9. 3DMark Vantage is a good GPU test which runs in DX10. Don't bother with those if you have a DX11 video card and Windows 7. Just get 3DMark 11. It will be the new standard.

  • @boredgunner

    THANKYOU

I Very Much Appreciate What You Wrote

    I understand it better now

    God Bless You

  • All the same lie they used from DX9 to DX10 ... that cost me 599 dolares to after a few months the DX10 are considered a FLOP, with a promise of FIX in 10.1 .. but that fix cost another NEW graphic card... ok... I wont buy it another time.... Sorry. Good games like COD BlackOps, etc... are still DX9... and few games are tweaked to use Dx10 and Dx11...with nothing "magical" and "amazing" ...

  • @segr3do

Thats a real shame! Devs just dont want to make true DX11 games. I am glad there is Metro 2033, Dirt2 and F1 2010. But thats not enough...

  • @Sssagaman We are Stuck because Devs only care now about consoles and we have just ports with better resolutions and better textures only. Even old cards can still play very well games like COD, etc... Great graphic cards like 400 and 500 series dont use all the power, so they promise DX10 and DX11 to fool the distracted (uninformed ppl) with false promises... they are really killing the PC game... I really miss the old days, just before XBOX360 and PS3.. when games for PC were masterpieces!

  • Looks like consoles are the biggest graphical and computational Cock-Blocks in PC gaming history.

    =P

  • yep, and the last game optimized for high end graphics was crysis. Now when the new crysis 2 comes out, it is going to be a shithole compared to the first one. Why? Thats right, because crysis 2 will also be made for CONSOLES and will be ported to pc from CONSOLES that got 5 year old hardware inside.

  • Let's hope that soon consoles will have enough power to use such babies like this.

  • Consoles were made for gaming and yet they still fail horribly at it. I mean the PS3 still uses 720p and 1080p While some of us PC gamers are using eyefinity with 6 monitors which is like 5600p.

Consoles are cheap as chips and at the end of the day are good if you have a low budget but if you want a decent community that isnt full with british chavs and american 6 year olds playing 18 year old games then you should get PC.

  • Looks absolutely amazing. Developers need to start designing games on the PC and then port them to console. After all we pay more money and in return get a rubbish port running 2007 graphics.

  • pc needs to be pushed & games should be scaling to your specs..

  • that's nice for real time rendering. I wonder what the newest gen GPU's can render this at

  • crysis2 > 3dmark 11 ;D

    this still looks pretty nice

  • @DarthJe5us Console crap > 3DMark 11 visually? No, not even close. I bet 3DMark 11 will be more entertaining than Medal of Crysis Warfare 2: Reach Ops as well.

  • @boredgunner are you retarded?crysis 2 console crap? i'm talking about the cry engine 3 and what can be achieved with it in crysis 2 with dx 11,btw 3dmark 11 is not even a game and how can you call medal of honor, call of duty and halo visually good games, those use cheap lighting effects and are in fact console crap

  • @DarthJe5us LOL. I didn't say those games look good. I just referred to Crysis 2 as Medal of Crysis Warfare 2: Reach Ops because Crysis 2 is a mixture of all of the titles you see in that name. It will be interesting to see CryEngine 3's capabilities though.

  • all i know is that no matter how much the game developers like rockstar and sega and epic and whichever are compelling us to get consoles by making console exclusive games i know that their buff to have the best experience of games of HD era is on consoles only isn't gonna work on me now ever.... i sure regret that i can't get to play red dead vanquish n gears franchise because when i played the FPS like MW2 n BFBC2 on my pc..i knew that this is beyond HD n now never can i step back to consoles.

  • I hope that the recent news from Microsoft promise a new life for PC gaming, even though I think it has it's problems.

  • @JX46 still, humans learned from mistakes..

  • the jungle and the graphics look better than Crysis but unfortunately the games we'll see this is only for four years because the ps3 and xbox 360 are too weak for such a graphics.

  • Wow, very, very nice! Near cinema quality! I really dig the bokeh and lens flare effects, they add a lot to the visual look and feel of the shots.

  • 1 fps on my GTX 460 I guess.

  • @FRoloB WTF man! Some dance, disco shit that has nothing to do with this vid!

  • vittu mitä paskaa..

millon markkinavoimat tajuavat ettei tuon tyyppinen product placement toimi.

  • I want metroid with these graphics

  • Now imagine if it was the crysis animators/artists behind this demo, we'd probably orgasming lol.

The demo in this video is impressive in the amount of details. In terms of simulating the real world? Not so much.

Watching this video makes me go "wow, that runs in real time!?". It doesn't make me think its an actual forest. I'm pretty confident that say the crysis guys could use this amount of graphics power and produce a demo that does make you go "wait, this isn't a video from real forest?"

  • foliage should move in unison/waves.

  • Awesome. Expecting this from crysis2..

  • @Sirius0777

But that won't happen, since Crysis 2 is set in New York.

  • @QWERTYCommander i mean quality of grafic, man. but youre right. that won't happen since we're playing crossplatform games. we are doomed to play shooters with xbox grafix..

  • holy shnikes

  • Woooooow! xD

  • wow, teh jungle looks less impressive than what we see in crysis, ofc i mean variety texture and model quality. Also why is the moon like 10m above the ground ?

Some of the normal maps and models are really unimpressive, time to hire some 3d artist and stop relying on the old team futuremark.

  • The futur of gaming !

  • Thumbs up if you need to change your pants

  • music is pointless

  • ugly moon

  • @xFreeman512x the problem is, that the moon is shown just a few meters above the ground => the stars should be at the same position (from the moon) while moving camera

  • @kamostomp yeah

  • Call of duty at 1:15. Can't wait

  • Jizzpantstacular! Looks like a fu**ing movie. Now too bad game developers are still basing everything by consoles and therefore won't be able to interpret this in games :|

  • F**K developers who BETRAYED PC GAMING in favour of CONSOLE.

They are effectively promoting stupidity by promoting simplicity by taking away the market for enthusiasts; those who effectively LEARN through assembling, customizing and manipulating their GAMING RIGS,

Shame on you developers and publishers. We were the foundation of your growth.

  • @Aryanpars Are you serious? Industries survive by moving to business models that follow demand, not hanging on to outdated ones.

Console games offer more bang for the buck in terms of life cycle, (when a console can be used for 6 or 7 years), in gaming paradigms (look at the Wii, Kinect, Move, Xbox live), and involvement/value, (the whole family can play on the largest screen in the house) .

If you want to blame anyone, blame Microsoft for not establishing better standards for gaming.

  • Comment removed

  • @DOlogunde That is true that industries survive by moving business models toward demand. However, businesses can form the demand themselves by creating a market for an product/service.

The concept of console gaming wasnt intuitively known to people by heart, but it was rather invented. Similarly, Hollywood form culture that can become popular because it capitalizes on human urges and needs.

There are times which demands drive innovation and there are times which innovation drive demand.

  • @Aryanpars boooo f*ckin hoo.

  • @Aryanpars I've been a pc gamer since a kid...but your opinions here are wrong. The foundation for a developer/publishers growth is anyone who is willing to pay $60 for a game. That includes consoles mind you.

and how does a user manipulating hardware and customizing things do anything but mean I need to test my software under more and more diverse scenarios?

  • @Machuse $60 for games that have their quality at the level of fallout 3 and 4 is just highway robbery. Plain and simple. I get mine 6months or a year after release for way way less and get the same enjoyment. With the added bonus of knowing if the quality is s*it.

  • @Machuse I am not arguing against console gaming, I am arguing for PC gaming. PC gaming is not be paid attention too. The platform's gaming is not dead, it has grown according to PC Gaming Alliance's research (when they included digital store sales). However if you notice, the PC games that are out there at the moment are primarily console games. You do not get an edge playing it on PC except very minor enhancements. Before, the PC equivalents were alot mightier in term of graphics.

  • @Machuse part 2:

When one person starts to manipulate and assemble their hardware, he/she learns about hardware's relation, the software's involvement and overtime, develop a tendency to appreciate complex systems. This appreciation manifest itself in form of greater patience for learning not just about computer hardware but also computing, math and science.

There is a difference between a PC gamer and an Apple user. The PC gamer, is much more informed about their status of their system ...

  • @Machuse Part 3:

Making things too simple, is not a bad thing. The problem is, eliminating opportunity for those who want to progress and see the capacity to move from simple to use systems to more complex ones.

Apple just like consoles, provide very simple to use platform in which the machinery is closed to manipulation. Naturally, people move toward "convenience of use" over more complex ones. Therefore expanding the market for easiness. This is evident in faster growth in console games and

  • @Machuse part 4:

and apple systems. You may have notice the sudden jump in Macbooks and other apple products. This is a sufficient evidence for the rapid growth of market for simple devices.

The unfortunate side to all this is that, once a publisher sees more profit margin in one segment, it would be logical for it to diverts its resources to the most profiting segment to maximize its profit. In the context of gaming, this entails, less and less development for PC gaming which demands more.

  • @Aryanpars Yes, shame on developers for going to where the money is at.

Less effort and more pay? You honestly think most dev teams are going to say no to that?

I know you like to think it's all about the games...but it's not...when EA and Activision is in charge it's all about the income.

You should really consider this issue from a business perspective and you'll completely understand dev teams...or humans in general...it's all money.

  • @ThrillinAllDay I presented my analysis what is going on and why PC specific content is vanishing. The most appropriate method of dealing with this is to bring hardware manufacturers such as CPU/GPU/MB/RAM/PSU/CASE/Monitor/Mouse/Keyboard onboard because they are also making money within the domain of PC gaming. Destruction of PC specific content means destruction of their market. Luckily PC Gaming Alliance is taking care of corporate domain.

  • @ThrillinAllDay part 2:

However, as part of a solution, we consumers should be more influential and bold. We should be recognized. One way of doing this is to promote PC gaming, discouraging 'Piracy" and etc...

  • @Aryanpars You are joking right? Yes, you WERE the foundations. But thanks to piracy and exorbitant development costs, developers target console gaming now. You're telling me that because PC gaming was the basis for the videogame industry 25 years ago, that companies likes Ubisoft and EA should continue developing exclusive PC games even though they will make HUGE losses? They're businesses, not charities.

  • @JonnyPxN but isnt the consoles are pcs?? inside the consoles are motherboards and everything from a pc right? they still need to improve the pcs to improve the consoles right?.. im just asking cuz right now im really blurr...

  • @munirss yes they have many components from PC's, but since their man task is gaming, they are different from PC's.

  • @Aryanpars The issue we all need to think about here is, how do we make game developers change their ways?

    Something needs to be done.

  • Gran Turismo 5 today showed how FUCKED UP console hardware is already today. I was amazed how bad the graphics was, to me Looked like last gen game...Developers should stop making there cross platform shit, cause pc can do much more than a console and they tune down graphics so it can be also playable on consoles, WTF ? Pc owners spend 1000 dollars each year for hardware and they don't deserve normal games ? We still have adgy and blocky characters even in recent games. I won't buy this shit.

  • @tutaberi100 GT5 isnt cross platform and u sure u didnt see it in SD it looks lush :)

  • @SkylineR33FTW Yes, I know it's ps 3 exclusive..I am talking about other games that could look much better if they were not cross platform.. Crysis 2 for example. GT 5 is just an example how outdated consoles are already. Pc games could use all the benefits of dx 11 and powerfull teraflop video processors, but that won't happen, cause in this case consoles won't be able to run these games... GT 5 inviroment and textures look just awful ! It does not metter you watch it in HD or SD.

  • @Aryanpars You can thank all the pirates that would torrent games instead of purchasing the game.

  • Night sky at the ending looks terrible:

1 - Moon texture is bad.

2 - Moon and stars seem to move independently as the camera moves. Both are at "infinity", they should move together to an Earth observer.

3 - The stars are too big and dull. They should sparkle and have different colors.

  • @vittau

" They should sparkle and have different colors."

Different colors? No. Yes stars are different colors depending on their temp, but we can't see that when looking up at the night sky.

  • @mecher3k www_.flickr._com_/photos/fortphoto/3553557451/sizes/l/

Of course we can. It's not a huuuge difference, but you can distinguish a few colors on a decently clear sky. The 3DMark stars just look like white pixels with gaussian blur.

  • @vittau the moon could use some work...

  • @possum440 The MSI and Antec logo placements are special sponsorship arrangements between those companies and Futuremark. Advertising placements ensure that Futuremark can offer a free Basic Edition of the benchmark alongside the Advanced Edition.

  • @FuturemarkTV

So I don't have to see advertising in the professional version?

  • @FuturemarkTV So the full, payed version doesn't include any ads?

  • @FuturemarkTV aint that just like 3D Mark Vantage, where Sapphire was a sponsor of you?

  • @FuturemarkTV "adv ensures that you'll offer basic edition" what the hell are you talking about, like you don't have enough money to allow us take a look of a trial. stupid everyone is releasing a trial and it's helping for your sells, so stop spit bullshit.

  • @2danimm stfu its a small logo, I think it kinda cool. At least you don't have gay ass commercials like youtube has...

  • @knockdoun wow so if it's small it's fine? you ass

  • @2danimm It doesn't interfere like commercials so... yea it's fine. Besides I like Antec and MSI they are decent brands

  • @possum440 u stupid ? they're making a free edition so people is able to use it.

  • @possum440 You want Futuremark to be a charity?

  • @possum440

nice story, but there is not going to be a free version!

Or do you count one free run as a free version?

  • @Stern271080

there is a free version check the site

  • @possum440 Do you think it's free to make programs like this?

  • Comment removed

  • OWN4G3!!!

  • Somebody must do something about those freagin consoles. Why on earth do they keep releasing the worthless machines? They only keep game development from going forward.

  • @toutagamon

They certainly are holding PC graphics back. GPU and CPU power has risen massively since the PS3 and 360 were released, and yet most PC games still look like they were made in the years those two were released in. This is because most developers make the game for one of the consoles, then hastily port it over to PC.

  • @tipoomaster Because if you put all your effort into the top end graphics...the people who don't buy the newest stuff the day it comes out will not buy your game due to the fact they cannot play it.

By releasing a game that can easily scale (which usually means leaving out the newest features of direct X and all that jazz) you successfully increase your available consumer and thus sales.

And honestly, who gives a fuck about top end graphics....GAMEPLAY > GRAPHICS.

  • @tipoomaster A good example for it. Black ops doesn't look better than cod4. That's like BFBC2 in perf with horrible graphics too... Crysis is still a very awesome game for graphic? 4 years after the release. 90% of games look crappy. Some games like metro 2033 are truely made for PC. it's 1000% better on PC with physx and maxed graphic. Crysis 2 would be on console and pc. Nvidia paid them to include physx. That save us from another console to pc game with shitty graphics. THATNKS NVIDIA.

  • Comment removed

  • @tipoomaster agree. and the games could be 5x nicer with 10x more outdoor view range and still 5x faster but they are not. Eben I have plenty technology idea doing that. But they holding all back on purpose. Not just the card makers, the engine developers too...

  • @tipoomaster Actually, most games have a several year development cycle so by the time they hit the shelf the current CPU and GPU technology has far exceeded what was available at the time they began development.

You also have to consider that the developers have to code for a mid-range machine since most PC sales are at the low to mid-range of the hardware spectrum. Typically only gamers will buy hardware that can handle something of this caliber.

  • @Zuato

Both valid points, but ideally a game engine would scale well across all ranges of hardware. Much harder to code for, I know, but nevertheless I feel that most developers just set consoles as their bar and as such PC hardware never achieves its potential. Its been 4-5 years after this generations consoles launched, and memory, GPU, and CPU potential has exploded since then. And yet, improvements in game graphics haven't come close to matching that increase in potential.

  • @tipoomaster Well fckit. We will have to wait for PS4 :(

  • @tipoomaster I really don't count console limitations as optimization because even then games can still run like shit on PCs ahead of consoles Ex: GTA IV and From Dust.

I don't see what's hard about coding a game to make full use of your hardware. Ex: Hard Reset (PC Exclusive) makes about 98% use of your GPU while a game like From Dust (console port) would only make use of 30% of your GPU, the performance differences are significant.

  • Games should have moore destructible objects and flowers should move when i walk over them - you know what i mean :) Such like Crysis had. Moore interaction - EVEN IN COST OF IMMERSE -=STATIC=- LANDSCAPE.. like in Arcania etc..

  • /jizz

  • People keep thinking this isnt real , or is CG... This is being ran on a computer guys, at a rather smooth 30+FPS ! ( as it looks)

But i do wonder what hardware its running on , and drivers too... hmmm.

  • omg this benchmark is going to be a killer! my comp is lagging just playing a recording!

  • Looking alot better than the release. Now with dynamic foliage! but seriously, it does look alot better than before. The deep sea one looks interesting

  • looks good, now everyone go buy their awesome game Shattered Horizons which is even cooler than this video. DO IT NOW! MORBO COMMANDS IT!!!

  • The lighting in the jungle scene is too color saturated. It has an exagerated blue tint and it gives the scene a slight cartoonish look. Also, in the underwater scene the rusted submarine being lit doesn't cast shadows. The lights from the other two submarines cast godrays, but no shadows. Watch carefully 0.51 - 0.53

  • Wow, almost a movie grade soundtrack!

  • considering consoles have early directx 9, they're far from the real PC potential...problem is that alot of developpers tend to poorly adapt games from console to PC and that pisses me off...i'll get an HD6970 soon so bring it on with sweet eye candy!

  • this is not 1080p massive pixels LOL

  • @1Striker1 yeah my 1080p monitor isn't loving this

  • First scene I thought... Crysis finally met its match.

  • @xenol Nah, u can easily recreate that in Crysis with the tools released for the game. Check this jungle scene, rendered in realtime: vimeo(dt)com/14480956

  • *SPOILER*

there will be no next generation consoles

  • I wonder if next generation consoles have direct x 11.

  • @Mamboyin Course they will.

  • dammnnn this looks sick!

  • first bit reminded me of lost

  • that looks so damn realistic xD

  • I wish there were adventure games like this :(

  • @Kenjineering I want GTA with this graphic :D

  • Nice graphics :)
