Actually Hogmeade and Hogwarts are located in Scotland, not London. The producer thought that creating a wing of the Ollivanders shop and putting it on Hogsmeade would be a better option than creating Diagon Alley, since Hogsmead and Hogwarts castle had better greater connection since they are both on the same location.

@betelman Dude, for one, I was sarcastic. Two, the Harry Potter world at Universal Studios is a combination of the entire Harry Potter world. Hogsmeade (which is spelled with a 'e' at the end by the way, learn your literature) doesn't actually have a wand shop in the books... but it is there for the magic of the whole Harry Potter world to experience. You need to come to reality. Don't get so defensive over a fictional world, ok? Go yell at Universal for naming it Ollivander's shop, not me.
