@XDaniJ101 I can understand this sentiment, but I fortunately disagree. I mean to say that Julian Casablancas' melodies are unparalleled to most rock artists. His dragging, low-toned yet savvy and nuanced singing does highlight the music but also the lyrics. Once you listen and question why he is singing that way, you'll HEAR his sarcasm, feigned apathy, etc. Listen to his tone in reference to the lyrics, and maybe you'll see what I mean...he's among the geniuses (like Beck).
