discus are very hard to keep they die very eisily the tempreture cant drop more or raise more than 3 degrease c and stress alone can kill them evan a small amount also the ph has to be perfect to
my angel jus started laying eggs for no reason, she's done it like 4 times now in the past few months....anyone know why? i don't think its from other fish breeding cos the wee ones got eaten by BGK

The first one on the right is a Chocolate. The left is a Blue Blusher. The 3rd coming from the left, is a marbled. The big red one is a discus, not an angel. The last one from the right is, I think, gold pearlskin veiltail.
The blue blusher and chocolate kept fighting with each other. I eventually got rid of them and just have the marble and pearlskin, which get along well with each other.
I have owned angelfish for several years. Anglefish are too large of a fish to keep in any sized aquarium under 29 gallons. You can keep 2 of them in a 29 gallong tank is my recommendation.

I don't breed them, though I did have a discus pair breed. Since I kept them in regular tap water, the eggs didn't fertilize well, so they pair kept eating them.
The discus are curious fish and angels are not shy. So if the angels are in an feeding frenzy, the discus will get curious to see what's going on, which they will eventually follow and feed as well. Whether if it's floating or in my hand, they don't care.
@CrazieEddie have you ever tried a tap water solution? if you go to any of your local pet stores ask if they have: aqua safe water conditioner, it will help your fish to live in a more natural environment =)
Most of the foods I feed are Omega one foods. I also feed tetra color bits, Hikari sinking carnivore pellets and also Hikary discus pellets, and frozen bloodworms (flat packs).
I used to have 4 angels and 6 discus, but I got rid of 2 angelfish since they kept fighting with each other. I now have 2 angels and 5 discus. Yes, both the angels and discus do get along. They leave each other alone.
