- What can I say? I'm easily impressed! 4 good DOS emulators for the TRS-80 Color Computer / Dragon, all with different strengths. Paul Burgin's T3 emulator is written in assembler & good for emulated cartridge roms (.pak format). His PC-Dragon II emulator is slower, written in C, but it runs .cas cassette roms. Jeff Vavasour's COCO emulator has the best navigation, but it is not at all intuitive. MESS is MESS, and works fine. Still looking for a way to convert .ccc files (for MESS) to .pak
My word, this was the first video game I had at home when I was a kid. My parents bought me a Radio Shack Color Computer and this game to play on it. I was transfixed. I haven't seen this in 25 years. There's one aspect of the game that you don't see in this video. If you shoot all the ships before any of them get past you, then the next screen is a different color. I think the color was brown, but it looked really cool. Maybe I still have this game at my parents'.
If you can I recommand you get one ( or two ) deluxe joysticks. There still analog but they are bigger, have 2 buttons, they have fine tuning for the potentiometers ( x and y axis) and its possible to activate a return to center mechanism. 90 percent of time I used those joystick with the return to center activated. I only just had those deluxe joystick and thank god because I would become mad with the first generation of black little controller with no springs in it.

I had a TRS-80 and wondered how they never got sued for such shamless rip offs such as Polaris, colorpede and Pac-maze
