WHEN I DANCE, I HAVE TWO LEFT FEET. EVEN SO, UNA STUBBS' CHOREOGRAPHY IN THIS PIECE OF ENGLISH SHITE IS JUST SHITE. AND THEN THEY CALL IT A MUSICAL. IF SIDNEY JAMES IS A SINGER OR EVEN A SUPERSTAR, WHAT DO YOU CALL GENE KELLY? A CELESTIAL BEING??
I havent seen this film for years, the scene i remember is the title song and una stubbs skirt blows up in the wind with the other woman. Have you got all the film? is in on dvd?
Haha!! Moved to Bermondsey before I realised I'd left Borough. Sounds orrible from the outside, but inside the people are REAL. Some are slightly scary cos they got murdah in their eyes and pit bulls on ropes. Love it!!!
As a Welshboy, I joined the Met because of this film. I don`t know why. I just loved this film and I loved the girl who played the lead. Jesus, it`s funny how life turns out!!!
I adore this song. Sid showing people there was more to him then people first thought. Is there any chance there is a mp3 version of this knocking about because I would love to have it.
bermondsey is now in kent and surrey and essex LOL where next then the sea? sooner or later your gonna have to realise that black people are british too and the second world war ended a long time ago wake up FFS cockney roots come from jewish settlers FFS get the facts right and stop living in this knees up mother brown video!! other than that the place is better now than it ever was ie diverse and with investment,,,lets go forward people not backwards
I love the period atmosphere of this film but the storyline is mental.I thought it might have been written by Alan Klien who co-wrote Joe's 1962 musical film 'What A Crazy World' but when I looked it up it turns out he had nothing to do with it but Talbot Rothwell (who wrote the Carry On... films) co-wrote this.
think he sings in tommy steele film with bernard cribbins, Tommy the Toreador, he sings something about catch the birdie.. cant remember i expect you would find the clip on here

@26highstreet Well they had more chances of being cockney's than anybody born in the last 60years considering how long it is since bow bells rang.
