Its not that bad really, I watched it the first time and thought it sucked but it got stuck in my head!

They are playing you can only hear the bass and the slight tune of an acoustic guitar, never as good as the original, but you can tell hes really happy to be playing again!

Anyone actually see the programme this comes from? It was a collection of artists performing their number 1 hits from mostly the last 1-3 years. And they were all manufactured pop stars miming badly to a pre-recorded sound track. Then these guys came out and actually played some instruments and sang live - they were the best thing on the whole show by miles and lit up my screen better than Dale's orange tan! Always great to see real musicians performing great songs live. Thanks for posting!

Sorry to disappoint but the band isn't plugged in and the drums aren't mic'd so he is also singing to a backing track but pretending to be playing with a live band. At 3.45 the middle singer forgets the words.

Your right, he didnt muck up the start..... He mucked up the whole song! The original kicked ass but this half hearted attempt does it no justice. There wasnt even a cockney accent. All respect to Steve Harley but that was a long way from the timeless 70's version.
