With Shaq and Kobe, that's a different story because they relied on each other, as well as fisher and horry and others. The last two when he lead his team people make it seem like he did it by himself. I think LeBron will win one eventually, he as all the skill and talent of himself and teammates, but he doesn't have the mindset/heart of a champion it seems like.

Now, Kobe's stats: 25.3 PPG, 5.3 RPG, and 4.7 APG. Now, there's not many defensive stats, but we all know that LeBron is a better defensive player than Kobe. So, you really have no argument. I guess Kobe is more clutch than LeBron, but LeBron's a better scorer, rebounder, passer, and defender. There's no argument.

Kobe is nothing without the ball and only plays for himself! He took over 30 shots just for 48 points WEAK lol! He shot over 50% for the game and he didn't even get to the line. He's on the All-defensive teams for only playing offense and playing for himself! He never plays D, turns the ball over, lets the other team score, and couldn't be a lockdown defender in his dreams. @jreek23 48pts isn't weak, he shot 12-13 free throws so he at least went to the line 6-7 times, even if he did win All-Defensive First/Second Team for his offense then he wouldn't won those 4 times because that wouldn't make any sense. Everybody turns the ball over every season, so what. Also, what he's doing gave the Lakers 5 Championships, got himself an MVP, 2x NBA Finals MVP, 13x NBA AllStar, 2x NBA Scoring Champ, 4x NBA AllStar MVP and more. Overrated? Pfft. Kobe is still an awesome athlete and the Lakers are in dire need for some perimeter speed, especially on D. UR right...the West is wide open right now. Keep you eye on Portland....they match up well against the Thunder. Dallas looks through without Chandler, but they could heat up here soon. As much as I hate to say it, I have a feeling that Miami will win it all this year.

Why does rings matter so much? Kobe Bryant just doesn't have 5 rings by himself, the Lakers have another 5 rings with Kobe and the other 15+ players on the team. Championships are a team achievements, individual awards and progressions are individual achievements. Team player activities and contribution as well as athleticism, work ethic, heart and skill define individuals. Not just championships.

Yes it takes a TEAM to win Championships in the NBA but without the SUPERSTARS they will not win one. Basketball unlike any other sport say football, you can give your SUPERSTAR the ball and he can set the pace for the rest of a game. Kobe Bryant is a SUPERSTAR PLAYER bar none.

With Shaq and Kobe, that's a different story because they relied on each other, as well as fisher and horry and others. The last two when he lead his team people make it seem like he did it by himself. I think LeBron will win one eventually, he as all the skill and talent of himself and teammates, but he doesn't have the mindset/heart of a champion it seems like.
