Hey, I'm new to this and seeing you all rag on this guy - well who do you recommend for tips as now I'm thinking this guy is hurting my game more than helping.
you will never get better with your putter or mid range unless you start throwing them from the tees on 300 ft holes and less, believe me, its not that hard to throw a putter 300 ft
Not helpful video. Did this guy win any tournament at all? I used to be good at my approach/short game shot until I watch this guy and now my short game sucked. "Squeeze the disc. Squeeze hard." I like to squeeze this guy's neck.
He's not saying it's a putt. It's just a short drive that requires more accuracy than distance, and a putter will give you just that. Also, if you over shoot a 200' shot with a driver, it'll probably skip and go a lot farther than a putter would.
He doesn't mean that you will actually make it with ANY disc from 200 ft. All he simply means is that a putter is a great disc to use off some tees, if you know how to throw it right. I've heard several pros say they don't even consider using a standard "driver" until they are looking at 400 ft in normal conditions.
Putting your finger on the rim takes away ALOT of its spin, don't do it. There are many different grips to use, but keep that index finger under the rim.
I can't believe you used to hold your putter with the power grip. Anyone who i ever introduced to the sport naturally held their disc with a spread like pattern. YOu just weren't born to play disc golf john stone.
I used to be a really good putter with the normal beach frisbee grip on my star aviar. I saw a guy on youtube talk about gripping with a power grip, i tried it, it was awkward at first but after a while I saw that my shots are straight, they don't tend to hyzer out and I can now make 60' putts like nothing. Power grip for putting rules, just watch any WORLD PRO, they all use the power grip when they putt. Finger on the bead is like a training wheel.

I gave you a thumbs up because I am hoping people will follow your advice and thus reduce their chances of making putts.
