  • How do you download the material from the recorder to your computer? I see that you pull yours from a music file, but I need to know how to plug in my recorder and download info onto computer.

    Thanks

  • What software are you using for titles?? jw

  • I been interested in ghost hunting for a while and im kinda new to it what would be a great place for me to start. I was thinking maybe a cemetery or something like that. Here in California there a lot of haunted places but i want to start small just to check and see if my equipment is good. Any advice thanks.

  • Thank you;)

  • What is Best , THE Ghost meter ot cellsensor

  • @crazyguysmd Both are about the same. The only real difference is the probe on the cell sensor that picks up radio frequency.

  • @screamfreak79 can it be a regular voice recorder or dose it have to be a specific one?? thanks again

  • @skategreenfish1 Any voice recorder will work as long as its not a voice recorder on a cell phone. Those do not posess the quality of recording we need.

  • @screamfreak79 thank you so much :D

  • Thank you for the tips. ;) Also, hopefully there aren't noises coming from outside, so maybe it's best to close windows. Basically, it has to be very quiet. ;)

  • DEAR SIR, THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR KNOLEDGE. I TO HAVE ENCOUNTERED THE PARANORMAL THROUGHOUT MY LIFE .MY QUESTION IS, I HAVE A REORDER ON MY MP3 PLAYER AND IT SOUNDS PRETTY GOOD TO ME. IS IT POSIBLE TO USE IT IN A SMALL TOWN CEMETARY.?

  • @butchmable You can, but the compression will be really bad. You may be missing out on some important frequencies.

  • I JUST FOT MY FIRST RECORDER TODAY! never been on an investagation or nothing. all i know is from whating ghost adventures. where should i start. i know i dont want a big team just me my brother, and maybe a friend to go on adventures. will any digital recorder heard the white noise. THANKS!

  • @BLEACH01Z Any one will pick up white noise. What kind did youe get.

  • if my recorder volume goes to 30 as the highest, when im recording, where should my volume be? thanks and love you all

  • @sassy4088able It should be OK to record at any volume.

  • you can seriously hear them when wearing headphones!!!! no joke!! i dont it just 10 mins ago (after hearing it i decided to search up other vids on youtube or goggle)...

when i done it... i heard whispering after the first 20 secs (note: this is my first EVP recording ever!! :D) also its only me here.. so there are no other ppls around me to make that whispering... i found it very convincing.. very evp

the whispering only lasted 3 secs or so...

any tips? ideas? is it dangerous doing it alone?

  • i agree with almost everything that you said there except one thing when i buy batteries i always look to see if its made in the U.S.A i find those and i use those

  • Good advice. I make it a practice to turn on the recorder as soon as I arrive at the location. Some of my best evps have occurred when I wasn't doing an actual session. I've noticed that some spirits want to get into the conversation even when they're not asked anything specific. I'd like to add to make sure you research your digital recorder before buying. I'm not crazy about the functions on mine...too limiting and not easy to pick up where I left off. Maybe I'm not using it right ;)

  • U know where u said about the Voice A, i tryed it and believe it i just captured the EVPs nothing else well my questions,,like there were know long pauses, i wouldn't try this everytime But it was cool....great video:)

  • Personally, my team films every EVP session so we can eliminate things in the environment as the cause (Whispers, people moving around or rubbing their fingers on the recorder and so on) I found it helps eliminate over 90% of the potential for false positives.

  • You are right. Using the camera to compare will eliminate the guesswork on most of the suspicious sounds and noises.

    Mike

  • Great advice! I also think too another good tip is when you ask a question, allow for ten seconds to pass. Its what I do.

  • Basic, simple but NEED TO KNOW information for newcomers to paranormal investigations!!

    Great Video Guys!!!!!

  • Thanks for the tips Mike! Our team uses Olympus recorders (various models) with the stereo mics. We find 'em on Amazon for really good prices.

  • Just another tip about the VOR function: the noise when set to VOR ON has to be pretty loud or it will stop recording. Most EVPs are very low in volume. This setting is useless for paranormal investigating. I act like my recorder doesn't even have this setting. ( I dont' like it anyway.) The only thing its good for is saving battery and in this field, battery cost is a given.

  • Excellent tips.. .thanx mike

  • Thanks Mike. I have recently heard that you should use higher-end recorders that are shielded against radio waves. Any ideas of which make/model?

  • Great tips, Mike. :)

  • All good tips as ever Mike :)
