First heard them from a Mix Cd my friend made me like 3 years ago which had Ottoman on it, fell in love instantly. I'm a massive fan of Vampire Weekend but when I heard they'd made a song for a film in the Twilight Saga, which I believe is very much average, not bad or great, I wasn't expecting much. yes, i'm a twilight fan. but music is my top priority. and with the twilight saga soundtracks, they make a whole new genre pretty much. they pick the greatest songs for the movies and i couldn't be happier.

First thing, with the music industry going down, groups like that need money. And movie is a good way to earn it.
Secondly, I'm glad that they put some great music in the movie. The movie is for teenagers and they could have put in some crappy music instead of this. But they didn't. So maybe some teenagers will from now on appreciate good music.
Come on people, start seeing thing positively :)

WHY!?! and u kno theyre only in this movie cuz theyre getting popular and they have vampire in their band name (Even though this isnt to much their style, I still like it, i just hate that twilight used them)

you shouldn't be mad at twilight for getting all these awesome bands on the soundtrack, you should be mad at the bands for selling out.. 'cause they get a hella good paycheck for doing it. And I'm just glad 'cause I love the movies so! :D

@emma8883 i know, its strange. black keys, thom yorke, muse, florence + the machine, grizzly bear, bat for lashes...so many amazing artists on such a lame commercialized teen soundtrack. i guess maybe thom was like "well, if muse is doing it..." and then grizzly bear was like "if thom's doing it...", and so on for all the good bands. lol
