Yeah shadow bolts in bc were to over powered back then but also moonfire but now they deleted the talent point to get it so high..... And voa with the gear you have now pretty easy to do

It's not all about the buffs, It's about the debuffs too. Deathwish, Zerker stance, recklessness can dish the ammount of damage you take by shit loads..

i had 1300 spell unbuffed b4 the LK patch and i got 6.2k crit fully buffed(with trinkets too)... after LK patch specs were nerfed so i hit 5.1k buffed.... u would need more then just over 110% more damage

that's about 30-40% more dmg than a shadowbolt crit under normal conditions (shadowpriest 15%+5% debuffs, curse of shadow, recklessness& DW) which means it doesnt happen under normal conditions but it can there.
