Well, I'm asking why there needs to be a Black Lawyer Conference. Is there a Conference of Lawyers which excludes blacks, making it necessary for a NCBL? Are other colored people discouraged to join? Are whites?

I'll believe your question is asked in earnest. However, it is difficult responding to such a question in light of the history this country has in regards to it's treatment of Black people. Maybe you should be asking is why have white people in America found it necessay to segregate themselves from Black people? And the only ones who can answer that are white people. Don't expect an hones answer though.

Well I'm glad you did. And that's a good point about Segregation in the past. Are you saying black people are conditioned to be segregated throughout American history? That is a plausible answer, one I might agree with. However, if Segregation was so bad, why make a concerted effort to continue it?

I'm white, and I'm also giving you an honest answer. I don't know why you'd think I'd give a dishonest answer.

Correct, I'm making note of blacks self segregation, and how unhealthy it is. That type of exclusion wasn't ok then and it's not ok now.
