As his cousin, I'd like to just point out that this video is 2 years old. He's 15 now, in a band, and writing a number of original songs. And his playing is of course a lot better. Search McLovins and watch their most recent video, the song called 20 in a 35. You'll see what I mean.

eruption isnt hard, just put ur gain and overdrive up high and make everything rly light and uber sensitive then touch the strings, works 4 me

well he did a good job, it was pretty clean, but that doesnt make him a prodigy, it just means he is very determined at playing guitar and tht he has a good chance of being a great player if he keeps up the practice. I learned master of puppets at about 13, its actually the first full song i learned, but i started slacking for about a year so now im trying to catch up :P :). Though if he keeps practicing a lot, he can definitely get somewhere.

nice, Joe Satriani's Satch Boogie, great song, but you don't seem too good at keeping beat, that and some of the parts are wrong, I could see why you would improvise the middle of the song, but Satriani doesn't improvise the actual solo. Other than that really good for a beginner guitarist, but there are many better young players. 4/5
