@blugotti Hhiya, the screen lets you know which colour is next and there is a diagram on the machine that tells you how to thread up.

@ChelnAndy The embroidery machine was the Brother pe150 although I have upgraded my machine and no longer use brother, I still use the brother software. You can do some great designs with fantastic results with the pe150.

@ma907h Hhiya, yes your machine should be able to handle this fine. My design is done in a 4x4 hoop so your machine does this too. You would have to check your manual for handling complex designs but something like I have done would be no problem.

@beccasbowboutique Hiya, the embroidery machine does all the work but I have to design the embroidery first on my laptop. I am working on a new video that shows in a lot more detail how to design an embroidery design.

@earthiopia my new machine is a husqvarna designer and I am loving it. I can do bigger designs which is why I got a bigger machine. No problems with it..

@bowsgalore This model is a Brother PE150 which is a basic machine but I fould it great to learn on. You will need to invest in digitizing software also if you want to create your own designs. I have since upgraded my embroidery machine and now use a Husqvarna rather than a Brother machine.

I have designed the embroidery on my computer and transferred the design to my embroidery machine which then embroiders onto my chosen garment.

Stitch era is a free digitizing programme available which needs a constant internet connection to run but the software is free. If you had an image that you wanted to embroider then you would need to convert the image to stitches (digitizing). You may have to hunt on the internet for the programme. I received it as i already purchased a software made by the same company (cost me a fortune though) and they sent me the free copy.

Did you use special software to do that? I would like to scan in my daughter's drawings and embroider them, but don't have the first clue of what to do. When I ask at the embroidery store they just want to sell me software that is very expensive and I would still be at the don't have a clue stage.

@SuperSmashSisterz Well it has taken me 3 years to learn my software programmes and i use 3 different ones. PE Design 6 i use for all my little designs. It was the first software i used and i find the simplest to understand but limited on sizing unless your embroidery machine is a brother. Stitch era (which is free if you can get hold of it) is very advanced but the details that can be created are amazing, and Sierra Embroidery Office is my other software which i use most.

@cdcg19  its a brother pe150. A very basic model which i no longer have as i upgraded my machine. This machine was a great machine to learn on but you had to buy particular threads for it to embroider nicely.

@cdcg19 Well any embroidery machine will sew any image but the image needs to be digitized first. That is the hardest part and something i now enjoy doing more so than embroidering it on the machine.

Hiya, If you a mean import an image so you can use this as a background image so you can create the embroidery design on top - its quite easy in version 6. Not too sure of version 8 but send me your email through mail on here and i will reply with a break down on how to do it. :) Regards Taz

I can only assume you can do that on your machine and i'm sure you could. I used PE design 6 for creating this logo and i am currently leaning Sierra Stitch Era. Pe Design 6 is still my trusted old friend when it comes to digitizing.
