Ned (Lee Pace) has a gift. As a child he realises that he can bring living things (like his dog Digby) back to life if he touches them. There are some catches though. If he touches them for a second time they die - forever. And if he brings them back to life, then within 60 seconds someone else (in the vicinity) has to die to restore the balance.

Ned's mum dies of an aneurysm but he brings her back to life. Unfortunately this means his friend "Chuck" (Anna Friel) loses her mum. ...

Anyway..Ned's mum gives him a goodnight kiss - but because he touched her she dies (again - permanently). Ned and Chuck are separated because he goes off to boarding school and she is sent to live with her aunts (used to be swimmers). Just before they leave, at their respective parents' funeral - in a moment of confusion and grief - they share their first kiss (aww).

Ned grows up to be a rather insular and reclusive man. He inherits his mum's baking skills and owns the pie-hole.

A private Detective Emerson Cod (Chi McBride) discovers Ned's gift and the two become business partners. One day a woman is murdered on board a cruise liner. It's Chuck. Ned can't bear to touch her (otherwise she will die) and as a result of this commits "accidental involutary manslaughter" lol. The funeral director dies instead.

Ned & Chuck get talking and remember old times. But Olive (Kristin Chenoweth) a waitress gets jealous.

Anyway..I enjoyed it lol. try watching it on Itv catch up? :)
