This brought me back to the time we had film projectors at school most of the films were educational but if we were good we would be able to see this film this or The making of Star Wars lol

@MsDeandrea Well, Raiders and the original Star Wars trilogy were very tough acts to follow. I think episode 1 would have been a pretty good movie overall if it weren't for the the highly annoying Jar Jar Binks and Jake Lloyd as Anakin. Episode 2 would have benefited from a little more action and a little less sappy lovy dovey bullcrap. I quite enjoyed episode 3 although i think they really rushed things just a little too much at the end with the construction of the death star already underway.
I just wish George Lucas had decided to collaborate with Steven on the Star Wars prequels. They're both producers, directors ad writers but George is a better producer and writer and Steven is a better director.
@SolidSnake032486 Initiaily, Lucas went out to not only Spielberg, but to Ron Howard and a few others. They all convinced him that he should direct them all himself.
I have this on the old issued vhs copy. It has the stunts documentary on it too, it should be on the dvds though. I have to plug in my vhs player whenever I want to watch it.
I still have this on VHS. I remember reading an interview in which Spielberg had said that it's hard just to sit back & watch his own movies without being too judgemental about them or remembering what was going on during the production of said film. Out of all his films, Steven Spielberg said that "Raiders Of The Lost Ark" is the film he enjoys watching most. The film was truly lightning in a bottle.
Being a projectionist in a reel to reel theatre were the best years of my life. We run "Raiders Of The Lost Ark several times and the people just couldn't get enough of it. There is nothing like the sound of a 35mm projector while it's running the film through it! And having to make the changeovers manually, you really had to know what you were doing up in the booth!
The funny thing is that Speilberg and Lucas were looking at Tom Selleck (probly mispelled) to play the part of Indiana Jones, but Selleck couldn't do it due to contract issues (Magnum P.I.). Speilberg mentioned Harrison Ford playing the roll, but Lucas was hesitant at first because Ford was already in American Graffiti, Star Wars, and Empire Strikes Back. Eventually, Lucas warmed up to the idea of Ford being Indie, and that is how he got the part and eventual partner of the franchise.
Yes, I understood that the first time. But "a fist" doesn't equal "a hand". You can have two hands without being "two-fisted". When a person is "two-fisted" it is a metaphore that he (or in this case: she) is short-tempered, stubborn and maybe a little "aggressive". Just as the tomboy style character of Marion in Raiders.
Arthur, you are an idiot. You're comment was negative and useless. You need to take your own advice - actually BOTH of them: shut the hell up AND go away.
Haha! Yes, really sad. EXTREMELY sad, to say the least. Of course, the point of the entire comment is no good because of that little "typo". BTW, I DO know the difference, I just wrote it in a hurry, and English isn't my first language. But I don't care. You are still an idiot who should shut the hell up and stay away.
You can tell Harrison Ford has no idea how big this film was going to be.

one thing i like about youtube, aside from the useless " get a chatroom" comments, the actual video is good upload. Is this actually on a DVD?

"A hard-drinking, two-fisted woman"
Well let's hope she has two fists! Otherwise, something is terribly wrong!
TylerCharlesFisher 3 years ago
Why? She could also have two feminin manicured hands with long red nails and excessive jewelry. But she has two FISTS - because she is a HEROINE! :)
(That is obviously the point of the two-fisted" comment)
Kalle72 2 years ago
I'm just saying that if she only has ONE fist, then her body isn't 100% complete.
