Are you kidding me?! Lame attemt at an exciting video man. Ive lived in Corydn my whole life and my family has too and Corydon sets the sirens off if there is wind that exceeds 40 mph and a little rain! If you want an exciting tornado video, go to some place where they ACTUALLY have them.
@ozzydabull haha.. forreal.. i live here nothing EVER happens here.. in the 14 years ive been alive, ive known the siren to go off at least 10 times a year.. and no tornadoes..
Yeah SPC has went moderate and wouldn't be surprised to see a High risk somewhere in that moderate risk. Destructive, Long Track Tornadoes are going to be possible, particulary if the higher 65 + Dew Point temps get advected more northward
Actually this cell was headed for the city. It weakened regardless but it did reform a hook briefly over the city. Fortunately, the nocturnal cooling had begun to set in and the rotation stayed aloft.
Many counties are different in their siren criteria. Some will for the entire county. Others will only follow the polygon warnings and issue accordingly. Some counties sound it for a Severe T-storm Warning during a Tornado Watch
Actually, I live in the TOWN of Corydon (it's not a city) and I was watching radar at the time. The warning was for radar-indicated circulation aloft in the southwestern part of the county in and around the New Amsterdam/Mauckport area.

My friends and I weren't far from you. We were on Route 135 heading south toward Brandenburg chasing the same storm that night.

The tornado sirens go off for any tornado warning in the county. There doesn't have to be a tornado in Corydon to set off the sirens here.

The tornado siren being heard must be a Federal Signal 2001.
