  • My sisters piggy sounds just like that when he's content and happy. I love it when my piggy starts squeaking of joy when he hears the rumbling of bags. He rubs to his cage all excited.

  • Oh my god! My baby buttons sounds just like that!! Awwwwwwww!!! :3

  • Cute it sounds like he/she's trying to sing !quick!someone make a dub step remix !

  • Cute

  • That noise means for a baby that they are nervous or scared for a big guinea it means then are happy

  • That is what our new piggies sound like! What does that mean, do you know? It doesn't quite match up to what other videos sound like but ours are young as well, so maybe that has something to do with it?

  • Just means he's scared.

  • When they want food or petting. :)

  • my guinea pig does this when it wants attention

  • My guinea pig is always doing this..

  • its missing someone i think human or pig idk.

  • I think it means he is hungry. <Mine does that when she is wanting food.

  • your guinea pig is very scared! You perhaps should leave him alone when he's making these noises as he could become very distressed

  • Well, in this way the guinea pig IS scared i would not reccommend putting he/she on the floor. In some ways the average guinea pig likes a humans touch or even better yet, bedding. This giunea pig might be angry too. you must handle them gently, or they might bite. this squeal might mean just that the guinea pig is upset, or out of food or water. my guinea pig doesnt squeal as much. soooooo, there are very many things that this guinea pig might be doing.

  • the pig seems nervous to me. considering the fact that its a baby makes all the difference. my guinea pigs made the same noises when i first got them. now they squeal really loud for food lol :)

  • That Sound Could Mean That guinea pig is sick or really scared i suggest you to buy your Guinea pig a Mate So your your guinea pig will have a friend and wont be lonely when you go to school or work

  • yup he is one very happy pig or mabe he wants some attention in a good way

  • my guinea pig makes that sound too!

  • when my guinea pig do this, he`s happy. it happens when I hug him

  • yea i think it means i dont like this. in certain situations ive had to press them a bit hard, cause they where about to jump out so i guess it means they dont like whatever is happening

  • i have a guinea pig that noise is like.......your petting it and it likes it because i am holding my guinea pig and when i pujt her in her cage she goes to the front and squeks loud if they do that that means feed em or be with em'

  • Well I'm not an expert, but I would assume (if you just got him/her) that he is missing his cage mates, or not familiar with his new habitat.

  • scared probably because of he new environment... on the floor you should pet it and feed it on the floor so it gets more comfortable im no expert but my family owns 2 guinea pigs

  • one of the workers from a pet store said it means its happy

  • when my guinea pigs heard this they were cherping lolz :D

  • umm i think its happy because its out of its cage idk

  • if that wood floor is cedar that could be it

  • shes probly hungry

  • it dosent tell you what it means!

  • i have 2 guinea pigs and let me tell you what this means it can only be two things ethier he hungry or hes a tiny bit nervous but excited (guinea pigs do that when its there first time let out on the floor) i have had guinea pigs all my life and im 12 and my mom is also a animal specialist so im telling you its NOTHING bad

  • i have six guinea pigs cause i love them....that noise would be its agervated and complaning about where it is like in a small area.

  • He is chutting which means he is exploring hope i helped because im a vet

  • he is making a crying and he is sad angry or scared.

  • When he sounds like a zebra he is happy. When he squeaks VERY LOUD he is 1.Angry 2.Sad 3.Scared!!!Now when he is in his cage or maybe even out if he hears or sees food when he is hungry he will squeak VERY LOUD too that means he is HUNGRY!!!!!!!!! Just for you to know.I have a Guinea Pig too.Thats how i know.

  • i like to call that bubbling. it mmeans GIVE ME FOOOOOOOD! lol

  • it probably means he likes it!

  • its scared

  • i think it likes you petting it ut doesnt like the floor and its hungry or it needs a break from you petting it.its a 50 50 chance.

  • My little pig does that 24/7 I think it's just the guinny pigs trying to annoy us but it DOES NOT WORK. But maybe your GP is scared because mine is a little coward and does that a lot. (very cute GP :] )

  • Your guinea pig is not annoyed. It's a noise they make when they are exploring. But i think he's a little scared too.

  • scared+annoyed

  • annoyed. try holding hin longer orv give him a small treat( piece of apple or carrot) when you put him on the floor or take him out of the cage, so he can associate being out of his cage with a good thing( treats) the quickest way to these animals hearts truly is their tummys...which they are convinced is always empty. ( mine is anyway) good luck!

  • is your window open? draft can kill him. he could be hungry, scared, anoyed, angry,...

see my guinea pig starts licking my tumb when shes scared, she bites me when anoyed, thurns her butt in to my face when angry, and stands on two legs when hungry!

  • My guinea pig made noise like that when he was sitting on my laps. i think he was just talking, telling something)

  • my guniea pig does the same thing

  • It was a new place..and he was a bit nervous. Ours do that all the time..

  • That noise means he's stressed a bit. He probably isn't used to being out in the open yet. Guinea pigs like to hide to feel confortable but you can get him used to being out in the open if you do it enough times. He's a cool little guy.

  • You have two different noises going on, in the first of the tape the sounds are just him telling you he is excited and happy to be with you. Later on when the voice gets louder and a bit panicky he is afraid of something and is calling out in fear for a bit.

  • it means that hes really scared so i would let him hide somewhere in his cage if i wear u cuz he can die of shock seriosly been there dne that

  • has to pee or shit.. really bad

  • he's worried about something. if he des that why you have him out then i would suggest putting him back in the cage.

  • yes very worried whinning. Needs hidey houses to feel safe and it's possible that the floor is cold. Mine used to do that when I'd put him on the floor by himself, get your piggy a friend it should help with the nervousness.

  • Actually my guinea pigwouldnt be annoyed every time he hears the refrigerator door open or sees food ^^ it means their content/hungry/happy :D

  • All these comments are wrong!!! I am 100% sure it means the guinea pig is ANNOYED. It probably doesn't like being on the floor( too wide space, too cold, too hot etc.)

  • either its scared hungry or lonely, they are better in pairs if u buy another 1 trust me it will stop the crying,i had 2 hve lyke 4 vets telll me that and lyke 9 previouse "pig" owners

  • pammy is right. the are nurveous to places they dont know...it will get usedd to that. kepp it with you and dont let it be alone for now they hate to be alonne.

  • he is content

  • i think its scared

  • Noo, well, some of these people are right. This is actually a more worried/anxious pig. It does sound simular to to purr, or what people refer to "talking", but you can tell with this pig the voices is more whirling sounding and higher pitched.

  • ure guinia pig is youst trying to tell u that hes hongre trust me i have one and i fead him and he stoped making the noice

  • just tell him shhh and that everything will be ok lol remember :P

  • i think it means he is scared or angry. My piggy did it every time when I did something what he didnt like. He looks that he dont want to be there on the floor. Sorry for bad english

  • mine did that when it was not too happy and sthg was wrong. so maybe its scared or sthg....

  • It just means the guinea pig is talkative, a little scared and little confused, they have brains the size of peanuts, people. They don't know much or remember ANYTHING. He is just simply a baby, in a BIG PLACE. Guinea pigs are cuddle animals, be gentle and keep in mind that they are way tiny, way delicate, and their little ears hear things way louder than we do.

  • I sure do believe that means they are happy or content, or excited, so I wouldn't worry about it! My guinea pig does it all the time go online and put in guinea pig noises there are lots of results with answers if I didn't convince you lol hope I helped!

  • he is lookig aroud he is happy its othig to worry about but if it goes deep the it is . .

  • it means it wants you to go away and doesn't like it on the floor

  • At first it sounds like a mix of pain and anger/anxiety, but you should know, guinea-pigs are very hard to "tame". They will never remember you until you give them a good reason to remember you by. Every guinea-pig is food orientated, so they will remember you if you talk to them while giving them their food and also getting them out on your lap and feeding them treats helps, so they will then recognise your voice and recognise you as being something good.

    Hope that helped a bit?

  • i think its either scared, cuz its seem a pritty high pitch one or....loney?

  • It means he's scared :) Trust me, I know this. It doesn't mean he's hungry or anything like that. The hungry one is longer with a higher pitch, kind of like whistling. :) I have a "baby" guinea pig too, almost 6 months old.

  • Mine does that even when it has the food in the cage ;)

  • soo Cutee...That Is Absolutely Fine That Noise Means Theyre Happy-Its Called Squeeking/Wheeking They Make This Noise All The Time He Just WantsHis Freshh Veggies :D

  • it means its hungry....i know it....im almost an expert at guinea pig sounds..i searched in the whole web...it is hungry..

  • Shes happy

  • OK, that sound have means diffrent things in diffrent times. I think the pig is sceard but it can allso mean that the pig is happy. If it chirps really loud it menas that the pig is hungry or missing a friend.

Sorry for bad English, i'm from Sweden

  • @LuckyJosefine My favorite guitar player is from Stokholm! I love Yngwie Malmsteen!!!

  • @LuckyJosefine Your very good at this!

  • @LuckyJosefine SWWWWEEEEEEEEEDEEEN

  • @LuckyJosefine Yay! En till svensk!

  • Happy curious noice

  • your guinea pig is fine. they make this noise almost 24/7. if they are doing high pitched chirps really loud, they're probably hungry. make sure to give them plenty of vegies, food, and water
