I think the problem with the police today is instead of becoming more sensible and more aware of the law as police used to they now become more violent people then when they first joined. Being a prick is seen as an essential part of the job now and very few police In Britain have a good understanding of the law. I think today US cops are better.

Went through a spell of using V8 rovers (autoboxes) as response vehicles. They do have some auto's these days but rapid response vehicles are still by and large manual
