i just want to say that i dont understand and never will why people are so very againt us showing our beautiful kids to the world just cause they have downs, my son tyler has downs and i wouldnt change him for the world even if i had the choice, he has brought a hole lot of happiness to my life and evey day is filled with smiles and love, also i would just like to say stuff us who dont care i love my son and hes dont no harm to this world either has none of these kids!!!! xxx
i am a special educator and i may say that this girl in the video is one of the luckiest person in the face of the earth. well, im not denying that she has a down syndrome. its just that these people are actually far from doing sins and things that may ruin the lives of other people. nothing in this world is perfect and what important is that we know where our imperfection lies... God bless to her parents.. i salute you for fulfilling the potential of your special child...
Thanks so much for your positive comment! I am truly blessed! Good luck with your special education it takes a special gift to be able to do what you do!
It is so very sad that so many people have this negative attitude towards Down's or any other disability. My life has been touched by so many kids with DS and I am afraid of the person I might be if I had not met them. They are wonderful people with so much happiness and they will always put a smile on your face. God created them for the same reason he created all of you. They are nothing short of a blessing and a miracle and I praise their wonderful parents for choosing to raise these children.
Down Syndrom children are really cute and all, but who remains finding these people cute when they are 30? 40? When you'll be 65, retired and he'll still be there, depending on you... When you'll realize you'll never be a grandma nor feel free with you own life, will you still find him so cute? I'm not trying to look dow on these people right now, but don't blind yourself in denial. Accept that he's different and that you'll have to cope with his difference you whole life, costing your freedom.
What a selfish response. Many Down syndrome people live independently and yes, some do need constant guidance. I have no problem with the fact that I may have to be there for my child when he and I are older. In addition some Down syndrome individuals have children, jobs and drive cars. "Accept that he is different" what do you know of me? Did you not get the message of the video? Are you even more ignorant than I first thought you were? Selfish, ignorant person, get a life.
@Souri7Sarah Will you be cute or lovable at 30? 40? Who knows if you will fall prey to drugs or alcohol or even depression & need to lean on someone, maybe even your parents. I'm not trying to look down on you, but don't blind yourself to denial. No one on this earth has a guarantee of a perfect life. Accept that your own life can turn around in an instant, and could cost you your freedom. What if your own child is somehow affected by any number of disabilities, will you treat them as trash?
I don't understand what Christianity's involvement in this video has to do with trisomy 21. Don't do that. You're just making the conservative party look even more like shit by showing pictures of ruined lives and describing it as being blessed.
My life has not been ruined as you can see from the video and I have yet to meet another parent of a special needs child that feels their life is anything other than better than it was before. By the way I also know a few Jewish folks who feel the same way! Get a life and quit trying to find something wrong with other folks lives.
First, don't tell me to get a life. I go to school, hold a job, pay car insurance, and take care of my girlfriend. Second, I don't go and run around trying to find faults with strangers in every corner of YouTube. The problem I have with your video is that you should never glamorize or guild anything with religion. ESPECIALLY a mental handicap.
@15Mikedelta then you don't understand Christianity at all. Seems like you are the one with a disability. Hate can consume and disable a person to the point they have a tainted view of life. My prayers are with you my friend.
BTW, Margot and her family are the perfect portrait of conservative values. Thank you Margot for this beautiful contribution to this world.
Yip, that's what I thought. It took about two weeks before the DNA test came back to let me know for sure. A tough two weeks wondering - does he or does he not have Downs. However, as the video conveys - I'm happy with the results!
Very boring and yeah what a blessing to have a child like these ones, who will never be able to use his mind in a the way we can... god bless them so well that we are so much inferior to them oh yes..
Wow...this is what is wrong with the world. People think that others that have disabilities are less valuable than ones without. Just because a child has mental handicaps doesn't mean that they will not lead a loving, meaningful life. By the way, are you saying that just because a person cannot "use his mind in a way that we can", that you are better than them? If so, you are sadly mistaken...
Thank you for this! Children are a blessing from the Lord - not an inconvenience or punishment. I pray we can all learn from your story and take it with us. This is beautiful and powerful. Thanks!

It has nothing to do with God...its to do with genetics. And thats all!!

No, I'm not suggesting I'm better than he is. As a matter of fact I believe his soul is much more advanced than mine.
