EVERY SINGLE TIME Tellis Chapman mounts a pulpit, this is what you're going to get. In my humble estimation, he's one of the most incredible preachers I've heard or heard of.
I got the blessed oppurtunity to hear him at the E K Bailey Preacher's Conference in Dallas. It was amazing. He is such a praising preacher. Inspirational. I thank God for brothers like him.
In my opinion, Tellis Chapman is my candidate for my "most slept on preacher award." He's so under the radar, it's ridiculous; he reminds me of the hip hop artist that has the sickly flows, has that great underground buzz, but hasn't gotten the record deal yet. Preach, man!
you are so right...dr.chapman preached a revival in jackson ms and he literally preached them under the pews...he preached his self so happy that they had to take the mic out of his hand and him out of the sanctuary
And isn't Dr. Chapman from Mississippi anyway? Man, he is a preacher. I had the chance to hear him at the Garnett -Nabrit Lecture Series about three years ago and he was awesome. Man, I love great preaching...and Tellis Chapman is an awesome homiletician. [LOL] How are you going to preach so hard that they have to escort YOU OUT OF THE SANCTUARY? Man, that's what I'm talking about: praise Him for yourself...I'm getting excited just thinking about that, and I wasn't even there!!
No he's from Arkansas presently resides in Detroit, MI heard him at the NBC Congress a few years ago in Memphis, TN telling the audience about himself.

I agree, doc! I heard Chapman here in detroit for the first time back in '91. My question was, "Where's THIS guy been?!" His delivery is DEADLY, and his anointing is RIDICULOUS! I saw him wreck a house full of 40 and under folks with an old Dr. Watts hymn. When He started, I said, "Uh oh. He might lose these folks with this one." When he finished the hymn, there were young folks laid out all over the place! THEN, he proceeded to preach the bricks off the wall! Should'a BEEN nation-wide!
