  • Vive la BRETAGNE,,,,,,,, I always feel "homesick"......

  • Nem tudok betelni ezzel, csodálatos!

  • A hungarian who sings in Breton!!! That's just wonderful and makes me proud to see our culture that the French have tried so hard to destroy is well and truly alive! I love it and you sing it just perfectly! Trugarez. Breizh atav! Breizhad on ha loc'h ennon!

  • 0:25 isnt that the place people dont exactly know how that happened and some people think its exreaterrestrial or summat? cus i have to do a report on the Musique Celtique in Bretonne. :P

  • @MeganS64 I can hardly see the link between menhirs (standing stones) and our music. One little detail to be helpful, Megan : bretonne is just a feminine adjective, Bretagne (or Brittany) is the name of that part of the world. Hope U'll do good for your report.

  • @Glunddra lol thanks :D and it wouldve been due yesterday, but i was sick and couldnt share my report, so i guess we'll have to see on monday :)

  • .@superraptor65 Actually, Bretagne is the name of our land and Breton is our language. 3 young sailors, tra la la 3 young sailors went travelling Went travelling ! Went travelling ! And the wind pushed them… tra la la The wind pushed them to Newfoundland All the way to Newfoundland (3 times) Next to the windmill stone… tra la la Next to the windmill stone, they threw down the anchor They threw down the anchor (3 times) And in that windmill… tra la la And in that windmill,
  • @superraptor65 was a servant girl

Where have we met before ? (3 times)

We met in Nantes (French town) at the market … tra la la

  • Great work, you should play in Lorient!

  • Great interpretation of Tri Martolod! By the way, my country in English is called BRITTANY, not Bretagne ;-)

  • Genius

  • Fantasztikus!!!

Nagyon tetszik ez a szám (meg úgy az egész munkásságod...)

Az elején gondolom ír sípon (úgy tudom a 'tin whistle'-t így nevezik magyarul) játszol - megkérdezhetem milyen hangnemben van?

  • @TheMeszirobi

    Köszönöm!

    Majdnem!

Low whistle a hangszer neve, a tin whistle nagytestvére.

    F# mollban.

  • köszönöm

  • @aranzoltan This is absolutely fantastic version, Aran. Please let me know when you are coming to Great Britain with concerts or to California. I will be there for sure! :) Its very hard for me to judge which interpratation I like the most - Yours or Stivell....Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Inis Mona can lick this version's balls. Totally.

  • Minden elismerésem! :)

    Egyébként ki énekel?

  • @raimhol

    Én biza! :)

  • @aranzoltan

    Nagyon jó!:)

    A kiejtés is és minden!

Azt hittem, hogy valaki más énekel, te pedig csak zenélsz! :)

  • oh yes! 'Inis Mona' is fabulous but I didn't realise that it's based on 'Tri Martolod'.

About this Breton song, I've heard a dozen of interpretations by different artists and every version seems to me incredible, maybe because of the specific lyrics and the melodic language of Brittany.

  • Not bad :] but your pronounciation seems to be different. What is the flute instrument?

  • Eluveitie stole it but it sounds better in melodeath version (:

  • @LaMagra70 don't know about "stealing" since this is a traditional song, it's more like using heritage in the modern times

  • Great work, Aran.

    Thanks for this lovely song.

  • lovely version !

  • I rather like this, i'm a fan of the live peformances by Alan Stivell but this is good..hence my subscription. Keep it up Aran :)

  • Me too i cant understand but the music is beautiful

  • Gretting from Vietnam! The sad and mysterious melody ! i don't understand the words ,coud anyone translate it ?

  • it is Hungary music ?

  • No, it is a Breton song in Brezhoneg language. Tri martolod = three sailors.

    But I'm Hungarian.

  • @aranzoltan

You got a very good Voice !

  • Like a "Inis Mona" by Eluveitie.

  • Well, Inis Mona was made after this song. It pretty nice, and this version rules!

  • @EdwinMarc every thing celtic rules

  • @EdwinMarc yeah very similar indeed;)

  • @SerowyRix You got it wrong, Inis Mona from Eluvetie is like Tri martolod ^^

  • @SerowyRix inis mona was made of this old celtic song

  • úristen mióta keresem ezt a dalt!

    végre meg tudtam hallgatni! Köszönöm!

  • great music! I know this song before, but no one played it as good as you!
