Its so weird to think that this was on 10 or so years ago. I can remember watching new episodes of this while my father recorded them on VHS. My sister and I were probably about four and my older brother was about nine. I thought that this was the best show. I'm about to graduate from high school soon. Its weird to think that time has gone by so fast. All I wanted to do was grow up. Now I would give anything to be that young again.

@klenkl it only goes faster as you get older. I'm 27 in a month; that's not that old, but Pete & Pete and even earlier stuff you missed are all under my belt. I don't know where the last ten years of my life went, let alone the ten before that.  Things start becoming a blur and run together the longer time has passed, and you only ever really remember small pieces of events or the emotions attached to certain things/places/etc. It's really a little unsettling

Wow, thank you for this. I teared up watching it and thinking about my childhood and how great it was. Pete and Pete is that rare show that's great for kids but also a great show for adults about childhood. I can't wait 'til I have kids so I can introduce them to this wonderful show.

This show, was a show about life from a kid's/teen's point of view. Everything was, I guess you could say, "blown out of proportion", but in a good way, cause that's how we saw the world. Everything was bigger and more grand than it seemed, and it was the best time of our lives. This show embodied the spirit of a child, and never failed to make us understand life a little bit more each episode. In the end, I think the show taught us that any normal day, isn't just any other day.

God, this made me tear up. I agree with everyone. It sure takes me back to when things were a lot simpler. I love this show because like RollandB said, it represents everything that was great about being a kid. This show felt real, good, and you always learned something. Now these days it just seems like every kid and teen show is about being a rock star, having the latest things and being famous. In my opinion it just seems really generic and bland.

@BenderBurgers Some people just wants to be a kid again, I would too. If there was a wish that could be granted, I'm sure anyone will take the chance to relive it again for real. There's no buts in this, we have to keep moving forward. Maybe in the next life, we'll relive being kids again. this generation needs a little memory lane into the past every now and then to let kids know what we watched in the past, what we grew up with.

Yes, everything was so simple, so beautiful. You couldn't possibly watch this show and think adult thoughts like "Artie is a pedophile" or something similar. Pete and Pete represent everything that was great about being a kid.

That reminds me... this may sound strange but there was this movie and the name of this movie escapes me. Anyway, These 3 friends were sitting around listening to an old tape cassette tape they made when they were kids in the mid to late 80's right...1 of the 3 friends says something to the effect of "Why can't we just listen to a song because we liked it, and not call it gay?" The song was something by The Culture Club (Boy George)

Pete & Pete can only remind me of simplier better times... Times of mischief and endless adventures, in wich you could get happiness by simply conect with a ficticious but warm-hearted show character. Polaris was always there too... Nice band, nice show, good memories. Thanks for posting it.
