I miss the music of the old days (90's), as most of you on here do also. Give me a shout out on here and let me know all of your feelings of the lost production of music we had so good back then... Does anyone think todays youth will be the answer to tomorrows music future to bring back the good srtuff? I heard that Vinal records are making a huge comeback to clubs. Thats a great start. No more digi-cd shi* Great clear sound, and no bass.. We need bass, it kicked and made you feeeeeeeel it!!!
The 90's was a decade full of promise and great dance music. Well, music in general. Its when I would like to say, "Music hit its peak" The digital age came, and online pirating, caused the industry to go in a direction no one ever thought would happen. Now, there are a million to one no brainer idiots hitting the airwaves. Sucks. People like Kristine W are on the back burner. My fingers are crossed for a better music future, I wont hold my breath, but I will :) Long LIve HOUSE MUSIC!!!!
@ASAFYY I first went to a gay club in 1990. The music was intense. It was LIMELIGHT in NYC. The main room, the main chapel, played TECHNO. The techno that no one born before 1975 every got to experience. It was music that was way ahead of its time. Today, I listen to the techno tunes on my ipod from 1990-1993 and still believe that it is way ahead of our time now in the New Millenia.
@brennenjc@brennenjc here is a song I danced to in LIMELIGHT in 1991. do a search on here and type in: Apotheosis - O Fortuna its 440 in length, the users name is djxdream
Kristine W. has the Talent and smooth singing..puts todays Auto-Tune wannabes far to shame. Land of the Living CD Should be in the Top 100 of all Time. love.
This was the first song I heard from her in a store off of Bleeker years ago, and I was hooked. She is very underrated...it's a shame when I see singers like Kristine, I always think of Phyllis Hyman. These women are gorgeous, talented, and appealing...what's the problem? Why isn't Kristine a household name yet? Sadly, there are plenty of other artists like her that I could name. This industry has really gone to the dogs..
well said mate [brennenjc] but i dont think it ever went away mate it just got to big and the corprate older gen needed to stop the massive effect dance music had and lets face it we all did stuff that didnt agree with the law lol but we all loved every1 while we did it. I DJ'd in the 90's and had an amazing time just let the young peeps enjoy thereselves and keep the dance tunes coming luv this tune
This is Rollo at his absolute best. I love the way the mix builds to a glorious, shouting climax. One of those mixes you MUST listen to right the way through to appreciate fully.
A radio edit would kill it. You need to hear it build, or you're missing the point.
The DIVA will be performing live Saturday Jan 28th 2012 in NYC at the all new XL night club.
