I don't think that's exclusive to 'these' days, perhaps more to 'yours', in that I think it's more a dawning realisation for anyone creative at somepoint.

There's a plateau you reach where you know you're better or eual to your potential contemporaries, but you don't know how to gain the next position in the hierachy in order to compete on an equal basis.

Excellent or poor, everyone needs the pen and the self confidence to move between the two.

it's also about anger. do you know how easy it is to make some of this comedy. how piss poor it is and how utterly bereft of talent some of thes people are, and how vast their rewards are?
