2. Blaming the government infers that the government is the highest authority in these matters. It isn't. We the people are. We created the government, who created the military, so we, the people are ultimately responsible for the miliatary's actions.
Maybe, the fallout from the growing loss of confidence in the two major parties will see us withdraw from the doomed to fail Afghani invasion. Yet, even in attaining that goal, it is only a small victory. The real answer, and the real victory comes when we have a community that is educated properly, and paying attention to the endeavours of their servants, be they, in federal/state/local government, or, any type of government agency.

I paid to have my cable internet put in $100 and that was with the modem.
Telstra are planning to have all the phones run down the fibre optic cable so this worry of money spent is nothing but a farce plane and simple.

Sure, no one complains about sending ours overseas and getting money for it, but don't use it here. Coal power stations are constantly making their production more efficient, leading to lower pollution and cheaper prices; that came straight from a managers mouth.

Apparently Kevin Morgan at one stage has worked in the Telecommunication Industry and is a high level consultant to the Australian Govt at various stages and what he is saying that it would be more cost effective to either expand the LTE Networks and extend limited Cabling to remote areas

@Walkie. Kevin Morgan is stating that extending NBN Cabling to remote areas of less then 500 in townships in Australia is not cost effective. The premise being that these remote areas are suppose to be connected to the NBN yet what is the cost factor involved? NBN or the Govt has yet failed to answer this Walkie. According to Morgan the cost of the Roll out would be $2000 per head of Population for every man woman and child. In the US the cost for comparison is $30 per head and EU $8 per head

@Walkie and apparently the US and EU also considered to expand into same area like NBN etc and rejected it on the very basis that it was not cost effective in servicing their higher populations and higher usage of the Internet. Another factor being that less then 80% of Australian Homes as it stands now has a Computer or even Cabling for Television or Internet. Morgan claims that Wireless or LTE can cover more adequately remote areas as Telstra and Optus continually want expansion

@Walkie And that with Telstra and Other Providers like Optus etc. Who want to expand into Wireless and LTE that the expense would be covered by them in Private Enterprise. According to Kevin Morgan if the Cabling was to go ahead it should be limited to cover areas where the Wireless or LTE would not cover. The Obama Administration is currently investing LTE/Wireless network at a cost of USD $8 Billion to cover the entire Country and population. What the heck are we being sold Walkie

As for the Un-Australian "Defence" Force, I'm cognisant of the position you hold in this matter, that position being, 'blame the government, not the troops'.
There are two fallacies with this position.
1. It removes personal responsibility. We saw in the Nuremburg trials that the 'I was only following orders' cuts no ice. You have a personal responsibility to make a decision about what actions you will undertake. We have seen many soldiers do this in Vietnam, Iraq & Afghanistan.

There are first hand accounts of what troops have been asked to do posted here on YT, and the excellent documentary "Sir, No Sir" illustrates how the G.I's in Vietnam exercised their contempt for the failed Vietnam invasion.
2. Blaming the government infers that the government is the highest authority in these matters. It isn't. We the people are. We created the government, who created the military, so we, the people are ultimately responsible for the miliatary's actions.

Maybe, the fallout from the growing loss of confidence in the two major parties will see us withdraw from the doomed to fail Afghani invasion. Yet, even in attaining that goal, it is only a small victory. The real answer, and the real victory comes when we have a community that is educated properly, and paying attention to the endeavours of their servants, be they, in federal/state/local government, or, any type of government agency.

I remember when all the blackouts etc hit Melbourne a few years ago because everyone was pumping up their air conditioners to try and keep cool. Why weren't you all bleating about shutting down power stations then? You know, all the people who want to shut down Hazelwood. Why was there a power shortage? Pity I don't believe the ALP I heard the same bullshit from them over the Pink Bat Debacle and we who are living in Australia know exactly how that turned out. 4 men died 200 plus Roof Fires $2 Billion to remove Insulation and whole scheme was cancelled. But no it wasn't Bob and the Industry dealing with Insulation and the Electrical Industry was not believed until accidents occured and roof fires etc. Now the ALP says Oh yes we can roll out NBN Cabling for $43 Billion but the ALP doesn't tell Voters to install in Home is going to cost $3000 for full service and retrofit and it has to be done by Techs Properly

I believe they would have a better idea about Installation of Communications then a fool in Singapore does. You can believe what you want. Is it removing the Old Copper Phone Wirng and devices from the House and to do so may having to remove wall Panellings or to the part of putting new Phone Connectors in. or the Part when doing any type of rewiring that includes the Electrical as well and if doing so needs an electrican. or do you think they are just going to run the cable though an open window Bobby. @bobhawks You are the one thinking NBN will install for Free I am going by common sense Bob when it comes to retrofitting the entire home to suit the new Fibre Optic Cabling. I said it may involve removing Wall Panelling I didn't say it would in all cases. But once again Bobby the Install isn't fucking FREE. Because that is how the ALP sold the promise to people that they could have NBN but neglected to say if you install it. It will cost the Consumer to do so. Installing the cable isn't FREE
