Although, I would have liked to have seen your interpretation of the next verse, which you decided to skip. Perhaps an encore video? For an encore, I wouldn't change a thing about it, just add the next verse and interpret it with appropriate cards.

smooth performance of the clips dude, but i don't think you get the point of the trick. the hole point is to controll the card(s) at all times. when you divide it into several clips it becomes more a collections of tricks but not just one. with all in one clip you will get much more respons from det crowd!

it's great but Shawn Farquhar's is better because he uses the same card deck everytime and you switched it several times which means you made it in a way that you would easly know where they are which is the heart of this illusion.

@DCosta94 Thank you, however this video shares nothing with Shawn's routine save for the music and even then I edited the track to be shorter. As I stated in the info box, this video was meant to be a 'magic music video' to Sting's song, not a routine for the real world. Shawn's routine can be done in the real world and it is a thing of beauty.

i was happy to hear that shawn personally messaged you, kudos! one thing you might want to bear in mind, however is that by using the black deck you diminish the effect in the eyes of the spectators. any non standard deck will immediately be dismissed as gaffed or a "trick deck" by an audience.

Yes, Shawn and I exchanged messages and he liked the video and had no qualms about it. I explained that I had not seen his routine prior to making my video and I also had imagined producing a montage-like video to accompany this song for over 2 years. This video was mainly its fruition.

Regarding your comment about the black deck; what you say, I feel, relates more to live performances. This was made to be a magic music video and therefore I wanted to vary the visuals to increase interest.

Thus far, I've not heard or received any complaints or queries regarding the authenticity of the black deck.

In fact, I've gotten alot of requests of where it can be found and obtained.

Personally, I never use the black deck in the real world because of the suspicion it tends to cause in such situations.

You DEFINITELY have a point.

But just to clear things up, apart from Farquhar's video on Youtube, my video was the ONLY other Shape of My Heart magic video back when I uploaded it 3 YEARS ago.

Since then, MANY copycats (who have copied mostly Farquhar's routine AND MINE too) have appeared, diluting the effect of this song and its impact.

Farquhar actually messaged me and told me he liked my routine.

I too wish people would be more original.

Honestly, I felt some of your handling was sloppy and some of the hand grips looked unnatural. I would advice you to look at the videos of people like Richard Turner, or even Arnaud Chevrier who has lots of stuff on Youtube.

Also I felt the handling did not match the song at all, though the concept is nice. Other magicians have done that already though, putting a card routine on this particular song.
