@poopyloopster They're both really good. Alpha Cat and this guy do 2 kind of different Obamas. Alpha Cat leans more toward Obama's interview voice, whereas Marlin Hill does Obama's speech voice.
There's no question that Hil's Obama impersonation is brilliant on a technical level, however that does not in itself make his act humorous. First of all, Impressions are made humorous when they exaggerate mannerisms, e.g Dana Carvy's Ross Perot. But more importantly, like most Obama impersonators, Hill does not set out to satirize Obama, which is usually the purpose of a political impersonation.

@kneedragginfool the reason snl doesnt hire this guy is because the obama impersonation will only be popular for a certain amount of time and there will only be a certain number of skits done about barack this guy would be good for barack skits but who knows he might not be able to do any other impressions so he would be worthless beside the obama skit however the guy on snl doing obama can do multiple characters besides obama. However if this guy can do obama he can probably do other characters
