Dont chat shit. There was nothing much he could do to not crash. He was coming from off the front straight, obviously at a very high speed. More than likely he started braking too late in the WET conditions, and started to slide. The only thing he could do was step on the brake, and hope for the best. If it was dry maybe he could have saved it as he would have more traction.

If you've never had an off or close call you're not pushing it hard enough. If you have had an off you wouldn't have made the comment you did. when I raced there in the rain some years ago you used to get a large puddle on the inside before the hairpin in the braking area - if you used that inside line the puddle would make the car a bit uneasy ( golf gti - nearly 200 bhp) but if you got a bit out of shape you just leaned on guy on your left to straighten you out again - it works, I did it twice in one race.....
@13soccer10 we went into the turn in a drift, but the back came back in, if he e braked keeping the back end out he might have been able to pull it off, he was going pretty fast so he still would have gone off the track but i think he could have driven away
@AlexPGunn Maybe on a dry track. But on a wet track it's too easy to lock up your wheels like he did ( even without the e-brake mind you). The last thing you want is your wheels to lock up, because it takes a longer distance to stop. Every time. The coefficient of static friction is greater than th cooefficient of kinetic friction. It is on this principle that ABS brakes work. The wheel must always be spinning and never lock up. An e brake would have had 0 effect, his wheels were sliding.
@AlexPGunn I agree, at the angle he was in on 2:07 , if he pulled the handbrake and able to slide the car another 30 degrees and gas on , the 4wd COULD have pull him out of the accident. Even if he couldn't make the turn , the most is him getting offroad. I don't blame him , considering while it happen , there is too little time for him to think =)
I kinda love how people think 4WD will save them from crashing no matter what. It seems like when they get in a 4WD car, they forget all about the fact that driving requires skills.

i have driven my father's evo ix in tsukuba then it was raining i passed turn one at 120km/h i slid through the gravel but destroyed the aero kit and left wheels due to fast movement on gravel. .

Video games do emulate real life. You guys are tards. Forza3 had a top driver for Puegot come and test the game before release. This man drove a lap that was 2 tenths of a second slower than his real life lap time on LeMans. Also, In the military, they use VR all the time. In fact, only the top scoring soldiers (on the video game) get to fly, drive, and fire the real thing. I know a simulation cant emulate everything, but don't doubt someone who's developed their fundamentals this way. Reply?
ok to finally settle this for all the retards in here who think a video game is identical to time attack just kill yourself. a logitech g25 wheel has nothing to do with real time attack. building cars to this standard are countless hours of work and prep. we change our track car's suspension set up for every track. real damage occurs to our cars and tire wear along with amounts of fuel. if you think ur can race bc of a video game come out to the track and run then.

Actually there is a replacement for displacement, it's called a turbo!!! Atleast that's what most of the car manufacturers are doing. Downsizing and boosting!
And there is another replacement for displacement and it is called an electro-based engine! Driving with magnets and coils!!! That's the future...

in a game there is a reset option. Stuff you would do in a game you would not do in real life. In games the cars are easy to control. In real life there are many different factors that a computer cannot simulate.
This is not hydroplaning. the hydroplaning happens when you accelerate, not when u brake. In this case, the tire slides because it not support the strengh of the brakes for the grip of the tire, the track is wet ,but its not realy hydroplaning.
@zombao hydroplaning happens when the tires can't push water away fast enough to make contact with the road. if your on the gas or the brake at 100 mph in the wet and your tires can't keep up, you won't have control.

that's the only experience i will ever need. if i can drive a car in need for speed then driving it in real life would be a lot easier. i can be professional if i had the money. i have been competing in need for speed and i win a lot of races. i don't doubt i will be the best driver on the face of this universe in real life.

Man you have no idea what real racing is. In NFS there's no fuel consumption, no tire wear, no pit stops, the races are like 3 laps long, when you crash the car is barely damaged...Is that realistic?

People can drive better in video games because there is no fear.... fear of injury or death.
in a game there is a reset option. Stuff you would do in a game you would not do in real life. In games the cars are easy to control. In real life there are many different factors that a computer cannot simulate.

This is not hydroplaning. the hydroplaning happens when you accelerate, not when u brake. In this case, the tire slides because it not support the strengh of the brakes for the grip of the tire, the track is wet ,but its not realy hydroplaning.

@zombao hydroplaning happens when the tires can't push water away fast enough to make contact with the road. if your on the gas or the brake at 100 mph in the wet and your tires can't keep up, you won't have control.

Do agree with RB30BMW in saying there is no replacement for displacement but at the same time you can't replace the the weightlessness of a light 4 cyl with the v8.
But this argument never goes anywhere good in MY OPINION both are good and bad , strengths and weaknesses. Depends on what your into and how you like to drive.

no..it depends on the japanese cars. Civics: they were not make for racing, unless you have the type-r edition. And it's all about the driver. I drove a spec miata at thunder hill and I was beating corvettes and porsches.

Seriously, my friend has a evo and drag raced it. It killed a 69 charger and the car had stock parts. Of course it was the new evo with everything in it but still a tuned charger lost to a stock evo.
