  • I was looking at the ages this video is most popular with..and I'm 24 and think this version is amazing. Just goes to show how great music can keep living on through different generations.

  • Damn he had SUCH a voice. incredible range. I don't think there's a single Conway song I don't like....both the late 50's and early 60s Rockabilly or his country songs. I think the mid 60s to early 70s were his glory years, But I love every song he made.

  • Conway does this one right

  • I don't care what he sang, he was the best. I grew up going to his dances and this man' had a voice like no other. No one will ever compare.

  • nice!

  • True Country Music. What they do today is just soft rock and roll

  • Conway Twitty was an exellent Singer and did a gfreat job on everything he sang!!!

  • best version of this song ever!!

  • This is a good song by CONWAY, But it's what the song says, that i liked. "FILLER UP TO THE RIM until my problems goes dim "...this is so true, 2 margaritas and all my problems were gone..i feel if you are going to drink then you need to be happy drinker, and i believe this is what he is saying here..it's time to go

  • what year was this

  • I like this version best of all.

  • I like Conway's, Johnny Bush', George Strait's, and Webbs versions.....But Ted Hawkins version, not at all.....Screams the high note......but to each his own

  • oh wow...........

    incredible

  • I love me some Conway, but Ted Hawkins, does the best version of this, hands down... Higher key even...

  • @grebel82 I recently discovered Ted Hawkins and I agree that he did a magnificent job on this song. Too bad Ted couldn't stay straight. He was a great singer.

  • When you talk about singers that are as good as Webb and Conway, comparisons are ridiculous....they have different styles; two giants of a brilliant period in music.

  • thougut ol'webb 's version couldn't be bettered, Sorry Webb , Conway's version is awesome

  • Finnally, a reason to love music.

Being one of todays teenagers... you are surrounded by terrible music all day

  • Sung beautifully by CONWAY-gives me chills!

  • I love the way Conway slows the tempo of the music down a bit and sings it more like a ballad. Far better than Webb in my opinion. Conway does it best.

  • Conway sounds kinda like Hank in this song

  • I think I will agree but I have always been a big Conway Fan. Just was listening to the different ones they have on here and I,m a country bumpkin but Loretta Lynn can sing whatever and its sounds country. Same song by Loretta Check it out.

  • @davidmcgilp Have you heard Ted Hawkins' version of this??

  • And I think Ted Hawkins (Blues) nailed it best.

  • david: You don't have ears!

  • i used a many a quarter playing this song. It sure fit my life back in the day.

  • That is nice. Patti Loveless does all right with this song.

  • YOU BETCHA...

  • Conway never fails!!! great cover!!!

  • does any one know where i can get this song on a cd at,i once had the record but it got broke and i have tryed everything to get it back any help please, von

  • Johnny Bush has the best version next to Webb Pierce.

  • Robert Gordon does a great version as well with Danny Gatton on guitar. The record is called The Humbler.

  • Was this Post-Rock A Billy Conway Twitty He was a great Rock A Billy singer too although Country and Rock A Billy are very Simlair anywayz

  • The Late Great John Hughey on Steel

  • @davidmcgilp I don't think so. Country songs are usually best when sung by country singers.

  • @Buried3030

gotta admit it.... thats true. every other song genre can be covered by other genres, but country is always best when it stays country

  • WOW great thank you for the post.

  • This is the absolutely the best version of this song- Love it!

  • webb and conway...George and the rest should take note of the first note

  • Conway is the only one who gets the melody of the first line right, other than Webb. Even George Strait butchered it.

  • @creedyguldunjka Try Ted Hawkins' version of this. Absolutely awesome.

  • @creedyguldunjka

i disagree...i think george's little crack in voice makes it sounds nice. i actually like it better than the extending sound of the orginal and Conway's.

  • @creedyguldunjka i totally agree

  • as good as webb? how bout a hundred times better.....this guy is a legend......only behind George Strait....i love both of the aforementioned's music.....RIP Conway!

  • You just nulified your statement by stating George Strait is the best. LOL. Strait couldn't hold the jock strap of the true legends like Webb Pierce.

Conway does a really good job on this song but it pales compared to Webb. No one can sing it like Webb does.

George Strait's version of this song is pathetic.

  • no, it means that George Strait version is 200 times better than Webb Pierce's, your opinion to me, doesnt matter, everyone is entitled to their opinion, thats mine, im sticking with it.

  • I can hear where Van Morrison got his influence for this song.

  • as good as webb

  • I have never heard Conway sing this song before. Was it Webb Pierce who sang it? I agree he's great!! Everything he sings is awesome. This sounds like a very young Conway. I LOVE HIM.

  • Yes, it was Webb Pierce.

  • this guy is ""GREAT""
