Can someone tell me why this game is so much harder to play with out lag then cod? I can play MW3 with everything set to low. and in 1024x800. but when I try to play this with everything set to low. it lags really bad. this is my favorite game :(
@tricksterD8 Because there is so much more going on and it needs to render much larger maps. If you want you can buy a new graphics card. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, just a decent one to the point where you won't get lag. :)
@justforVIDEOSqmz The difference between a AMD Phenom 955 X4 OCed @ 4.0 ghz (what I have) and a Intel Core i7 920 OCed @ 3.2 ghz is nothing....AMD has almost exactly what Intel has to offer for less then half...12 GB RAM is useless, I upgraded from 8 GB to 12 GB, it makes no fucking difference.
That card used to cost so much back in the days lol. Bought 3 GTX260s to max Crysis myself, and this time I'm gonna upgrade to 6970s for eyefinity + Battlefield 3 :D

Battlefield has some amazing graphics. the real world has ok graphics. i look at the sun and water in bfbc2 then i go outside and i look at the water, not so good. then i look at the sun and the freaking thing blinds me! i hate real world graphics.
ever heard of our "real sun" even got better graphics or just take a look at a river!!!! believe me the water's graphic gonna blow your mind! -> do you still live in a game or have you already arrived @ our real world?! there are some things you can just live.... for everything else use a visa!

Higher FPS dosent make good player ! i get only 40 FPS on my $550 PC ... its 4 years OLD now except 2 year old 9600GT ..... i am satisfied with the performance !

@thepvpandpveguy i don't know how good this graphic card is but yes. a bad processor slows the game down. it's always a combination between several components (graphiccard, processor, cooling, ......) which are making high fps

Would I be able to run Battlefield 3 on my PC? I dont really know a lot about like all the hardware and stuff. All I can tell you is that, I just originally bought this PC I didnt upgrade it or anything to make it better. But its a Gateway PC. And I can run 1080p youtube videos fine. And uum. I dont really know what else. Its pretty fast. But I dont know the RAM or like the other hardware. On the bottom of the like PC itself, not the monitor it says AMD Ultra, Phenom X4. Then it says ATI RADEON.
@FragileDogg It's using a radeon graphics card, so it should be fine running the game. It's a production pc so the hardware probably won't run it well on full settings but you should be fine running the game.
Wanna know something really fucking cool. I beat the Campaign, I got all the unlock-able weapons, M-COM stations, Onslaught mode, Battlefield 1943, VIP Maps, SPECTACT Upgrades, I got all the multiplayer unlockes, Im lvl 24, and I have Vietnam. And this game is still fucking fun.
Consoles are basically PCs stripped down for gaming mainly, or baby PCs. Overall people should shut the fuck up about this PC Vs. Console bullshit its silly, both have advantages like the fact that with consoles you don't have to install the game to play it, its much more developed for solely gaming instead of all sorts of things like PCs, on PCs you have a lot more like mods and better graphics(which I doubt all that many people can get a high-end PC and actually have these graphics).
@khnk222 Part two of my Nerd Rant: Back when I was a much younger(6,7,or 8 maybe younger or older, I had a shitty OCD childhood) I wanted Star Wars: Battlefront one day at Walmart, I get my grandfather to buy the game and I go home to play it. During this time I was PC gaming only and played educational games or some more awesome games like James Bond 007 Nightfire. I get Battlefront and find that it would not work well and would not get past installation.
@khnk222 Part three of Nerd Rant: Battlefront would not install and It was truly a sad thing for me, I recall looking at the box and thinking about how much fun it would be and then hopelessly try to install it again only it would never work my parents "tried" to help but I don't think they wanted this game on the computer nearly as much as I did. My point is that I have had so many bad experiences with PCs as a whole, I have had games I loved cease to work some random day in time on PCs.
@khnk222 Part four of Nerd Rant: I'm not sure but I think many people started with PCs only to migrate to consoles for their easier gaming experience (although the red ring of death is pretty bad). I did just that, I get a PS2 for Christmas(I did have a Gamecube and Nintendo 64 before the PS2 but not before the PC). With the PS2 things worked so much better(although it didn't come with a memory card so me and my brother had to keep playing the same game for a few hours.

My point is that Consoles are meant for gaming and function better for gaming then a PC might(seriously most people don't have a fancy gaming rig PC they have a PC, but not a gaming PC so thats why people are using consoles more).

Consoles on the other hand are much cheaper and lasts longer. But they can't play RTS games as good as PC.

I play everything High, max AA and Anisotropic (or whatever it's called like), HBAO on (Ambient Occlusion)... 60+ FPS, so all in all AMAZING Graphics, but if there is something like a mod for even better Graphics, can you please tell me?
@ronaldcgriffin technically bad company 2 was a console port. So besides the AA and 1920x1080 they should almost look the same. PC is always better on multi-platform because its not sub HD 720p and it has AA.
@ronaldcgriffin from a dev perspective. It is much easier to optimize for set hardware than it is for the 1000's of possible setup's pc users have, but, even with that, xbox and ps3 have no AA and mainly upscale 720p to 1080p with just sub 30fps, pc on the other hand with a good setup will run 1080p 100+fps, 8xAA, crisper AF and is visibly better when closer to the screen vs consoles running on the same resolution.
@mercturd85 That's cute, xbox max resolution with the low performance card it has is 1080p max. If you weren't such a tool you'd have known pc monitors can FAR exceed that limitation. A decent gaming rig can put out 4x the power of a shitty xbox 360 can. Should go google some. BC2 quality and distance was salvaged so if can be played on shitty platforms such as the xbox.

@mercturd85 wohohoho, xbox has shitty settings compared to this xD You need to look closely, the shadows are big ass pixels on xbox. When you hold down your sights, your back aimer thing is also a bunch of big ass pixels. Plants, same thing. Pretty much everything is lower plus there is no AA on xbox.
@Mw2LoverNumber01 Any core ix processors work with every game :) i have core i7 laptop and i did this test and my processor can play 100% games :) i recommend i7, but i5 is also one of the best (can play 100% aswell).

btw make sure you have enough power to overclock ... 450 seems kinda low. might be just me, im getting the gtx470 sli + i7 and i need minimum 750 w to overclock any of that.

@khnk222 Part four of Nerd Rant: I'm not sure but I think many people started with PCs only to migrate to consoles for their easier gaming experience (although the red ring of death is pretty bad). I did just that, I get a PS2 for Christmas(I did have a Gamecube and Nintendo 64 before the PS2 but not before the PC). With the PS2 things worked so much better(although it didn't come with a memory card so me and my brother had to keep playing the same game for a few hours.

@khnk222 Part five of Nerd Rant: I eventually get Battlefront Two for PS2, I found it to be a great game that me and my little brother have played for years since then. My point is that Consoles are meant for gaming and function better for gaming then a PC might(seriously most people don't have a fancy gaming rig PC they have a PC, but not a gaming PC so thats why people are using consoles more).

@khnk222 Part six of Nerd Ran/ My apologies to PC gamers: As for people who own a PC I will say that I would love to play some Battlefield 2 or 3(when it comes out) on PC if I could, but I can't, not until I garner enough money from random fifteen-year old jobs to afford a good gaming rig and play these games the best way possible which could be years from now but I'm sure Battlefield 3 will be very strong years from now and I can play it the best way then, until then I'm stuck with my Xbox.

Yes, every third year actually. happened for me. I bought a decent rig that could play the newest games on ultra! 2,5 years later... Well, it was outdated...
Consoles on the other hand are much cheaper and lasts longer. But they can't play RTS games as good as PC.

Yeah consoles cant beat PC graphics. But good thing about Consoles: You can pretty much play everey game with 60FPS even if the console is 5 years old. Another thing is: Console players have all the same condition unlike PC where you have a shitty PC and cant do shit. All in all PC and Consoles have their Good points and bad points and honestly in my opinion its kinda dumb to argue whats better.... you use that what you like more.

I can play BC2 on everything maxed, but I would like to know if there is anything better?
I play everything High, max AA and Anisotropic (or whatever it's called like), HBAO on (Ambient Occlusion)... 60+ FPS, so all in all AMAZING Graphics, but if there is something like a mod for even better Graphics, can you please tell me?

@ronaldcgriffin technically bad company 2 was a console port. So besides the AA and 1920x1080 they should almost look the same. PC is always better on multi-platform because its not sub HD 720p and it has AA.

It is much easier to optimize for set hardware than it is for the 1000's of possible setup's pc users have, but, even with that, xbox and ps3 have no AA and mainly upscale 720p to 1080p with just sub 30fps, pc on the other hand with a good setup will run 1080p 100+fps, 8xAA, crisper AF and is visibly better when closer to the screen vs consoles running on the same resolution.

@mercturd85 That's cute, xbox max resolution with the low performance card it has is 1080p max. If you weren't such a tool you'd have known pc monitors can FAR exceed that limitation. A decent gaming rig can put out 4x the power of a shitty xbox 360 can. Should go google some. BC2 quality and distance was salvaged so if can be played on shitty platforms such as the xbox.

When you hold down your sights, your back aimer thing is also a bunch of big ass pixels. Plants, same thing. Pretty much everything is lower plus there is no AA on xbox.

Don't spend too much money on it because PC's survive with video games for about 5 years MAXIMUM
i had geforce 8800 and intel core quad from back then 2006 and it ran games on max with high fps, until now that i have my new PC
