I think that for many people the most favourite world cup is their first world cup which they saw first time. For me that is world cup 1998. But in Corea and Japan world cup wasn't bad. There were stars like Rivaldo, Ronaldo, Batistuta, Morientes, Mendieta, Sukur, Figo and much more but I think that most of them were not in form

If you want to know of any World Cups where some "old legends" get a last chance to show what they got and make some impression, 1986 and 1994 are more like it.

World Cup 2002 ... easily the worst officiated sports tournament I have ever watched. So many games were decided by just insanely bad offside calls. If I were inclined to believe in conspiracy theories, I would have thought the linesmen were being paid off. They were probably just woefully inexperienced.

Most of the games were so good that I can even rewatch games like New Zealand Italy or Paraguay games,all skillfull.

My friend,wake up. 2010 was one of the most spectacular world cup events. Aprt from the vuvzela noise which was even a t times cool to hear. 2006 was a fiasco. I cannot even remeber one single game of 2006 it was vomitably boring. Maybe you liek defensive football,then you better watch tae kwan doe. Cheers :)

@richis404 See,I am not a Spain supporter. I supported Germany,Argentina and Brazil. The point is, the 2010 FIFA World Cup was one of the best ever. The best since 1994. Everybody has its own opinion though. But you have to admit that most of the games were so pleasant and they were so many events and odds. I remember the USA games as well as the strong Paraguay team games. If you cant admit that WC 2010 was the most balanced one in term of quality,then you dont know the football that I know

The guy who kicked the ball shouldn't have kicked it hard in the first place you can blame Rivaldo for play acting but you can also blame the Turkish player for giving him the opportunity there's no reason hit the ball that hard at someone on a play stoppage.

Its Rivaldo's fault he play acted but look at Rivaldo after the match he was kind of limping because it stung on his thigh I blame both of them for the incident.

bro, Rivaldo is twice the player of Ronaldo. All the phenomenon had was phenomenal physical attributes. He was fast as an olympic sprinter (literally, he was timed at 11 seconds, world record is about 9.5. that's 11 seconds without special training or drugs (i'm not joking either, because anyone under 11 uses them) and he was strong like a rugby player. but rivaldo was so skilled he could play midfield (wing or center) OR target-man/striker!! despite no speed or strength.
