Vladimir Vavilov found in a Russian museum fragmented old sheets of music by Giulio Caccini … he then collated and completed this magnificent piece of music .. Bravo Vavilov!

@dolldeelight "Ave Maria" is a popular and much recorded aria composed by Vladimir Vavilov around 1970. It is a musical hoax generally misattributed to Baroque composer Giulio Caccini. (Wikipedia).

@dolldeelight the vocals are to ave maria by caccini but the music is a variation on bach's prelude so this is kind of a mush up of gnoud's arrangement of ave maria and caccinis
