How the hell is a long gun registry going to make the streets safer? Pistols are used in domestic violence, not rifles and shotguns! The Registry is a waste of money, and criminals don't get licenses for their weapons. They go about illegal channels to acquire their weapons. People should learn more about the people that actually use weapons properly. Crack down on the criminals, not the people that obey the law.

While we're busy stripping honest citizens of their right to life via self defense, why don't we just make a registry of EVERY inanimate object that could ever possibly be used as a murder weapon. Knives, cars, bats, hammers, pens, pencils, bricks, screwdrivers, crutches, canes, our hands, and our feet, etc. This is the logic that anti's frequently use.
